We had such a lovely stay here. We travelled with two other families. We booked in for the next year already!
We barely saw our kids as they were off feeding animals and roaming around the farm! It was fantastic. Very rustic and fun! We loved the farm tour. Thank you for a lovely stay

Booked already for next year!

My family and I have just returned from our second stay at Freshwater Creek Cottages. We stayed in Daisy cottage this time around - All the cottages are lovely with a very 'homely' feel. However, Daisy has 2 bunk beds in the second bedroom. We have 2 kids, so for the sake of peace, it was in our best interest to select this one!

The kids had an amazing time feeding (and naming! 😜) all the animals on site, going for a night bush walk to explore the property by torchlight and see how many possums we could spot.  The giant chessboard also provided some hours of entertainment, which was great. 

A 15 minute drive from Torquay Esplanade meant that we also were able to enjoy the beach and restaurants nearby.   

As always,  Marissa, Phil and Melissa have been wonderful throughout the booking process, with the initial uncertainty of the booking, early check in to finding our daughter's precious "Bunny" after we had already arrived home and organising for it's safe return. 

We didn't do farm tour with Farmer Phil this time around as we had already been last year, but for those interested, the tour provides an opportunity to understand more about the farm, orchards and get up close to the animals. We were fortunate to meet some baby piglets at our visit last year.  The kids also had the opportunity to help with food sorting, which they loved. 

The kids have decided that Freshwater Creek must be an annual family tradition, something which I am more than happy to oblige to.

Lovely family getaway

We were thrilled to find availability at Freshwater Creek cottages after following them on social media for some time. 
We had the lovely Lavender Cottage which was quaint and clean with a stunning view- perfect for sundowners or morning coffee. 
We travelled with our 4 year old son who could not have enjoyed himself more with open space to run and play as well as animals to feed and of course the tractor ride with farmer Phil.
We also bought roses from the beautiful rose garden to take home and remind us of the calm, picture perfect stay and look forward to visiting again.

A beautiful, considered escape

We stayed in the Lavender cottage over the weekend and we absolutely loved it! From the first trip down the well-manicured, tree-lined driveway I knew we were in for a lovely, relaxing retreat! Our little cottage was rustic and homely, with a lovely renovated bathroom and had plenty of room for our family of 4. It wasn't long before we made our way to play on the adventure playground and to spy the baby animals and explore the beautiful surrounds that the farm has to offer, including the orchard, tennis/basketball court and the beautiful rose/veggie garden. We loved the tour with Farmer Phil (and definitely learned a thing or two) and Marissa was so welcoming, genuine and caring. We loved exploring the local cafes and restaurants for our meals, although the cottage was well equipped to cook yourself and dine in and we enjoyed bacon and eggs on the BBQ one morning. My kids adored the hands-on nature of feeding the animals - the pigs were certainly well-fed when we were there and we also loved meeting the resident kangaroo Miss Jess!  This property is well-suited for large groups where families can book neighbouring cottages - we can't wait to spread the word and return to the farm with a bunch of friends in the New Year, and next time stay much longer! Highly recommend if you want to unwind and get in touch with nature - our kids did not ask for their devices once, which after Victorian lockdown, was a godsend!  Can't wait to come back!  

A beautiful escape, a great place to  unwind

My partner and I had a magical weekend away at Freshwater Creek Cottages. Our little cottage was perfect for a couples romantic getaway and was very clean with all you would need to just hide away. We loved it so much, we got engaged! Even our British Bulldog loved it and he made some friends with the piglets! There is plenty of space for everyone so you don't feel cramped and lots of animals to feed. You feel welcome to wonder around the farm house gardens with it's amazing flowers.  It's just a short drive away to Torquay or Angelsea for the beach on a hot day. We will definitely be returning.

Tranquil Farm Retreat

This is a magical retreat to spend a few days.  The cottages are so well laid out and equipped, kind of like a second home.  Cozy with very comfortable beds and very clean and covid focused.  We all loved seeing and feeding the goats, chickens, pigs, sheep, cows, etc.  It is a really lovely thing to do.   Make sure you get the chance to do the farm tour with Farmer Phil; he is very informative and a real crack up to listen to.  This is our 2nd visit and we plan to return many more times.  Thanks to all for making our family so welcome!

A beautiful farmstay where children experience feeding farm animals in a farm setting, surrounded by bushland, with an abundance of animals, play equipment and space to make childhood memories for your family.

A beautiful experience with much needed family quality time in a place so serene, calm and welcoming! Everything was clean and well organized. From booking to arrival to check out it was easy, enjoyable and help was always available. The farm itself was magnificent and had so much variety and versatility for all needs from playgrounds, to animal feeding to fun play resources to tractor rides! To romance and relaxation!  Could not recommend more! 

ABSOLUTE SERENITY! A MUST!

The bushland and paddocks that surround the cottages are picturesque.
The cottages are perfect, everything one could wish for; roomy, cosy and private. The cottages are clean and well maintained.  The kitchens are very well stocked with a variety of crockery, cooking utensils and a few other thoughtful essential inclusions.  BBQs and outdoor settings are setup right outside the cottages.
There are numerous bikes for the kids and a great playground complete with cubby house and trampoline.
The gardens are a delight to wander around.  When we were there the roses were in bloom and looked amazing! 
Our stay was made comfortable and enjoyable thanks to our lovely, friendly hosts.  They are so accommodating; nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel very welcome.  The full farm tour on a tractor trailer is a must.  You get to see and feed pigs, sheep, cows, goats and horses.  You can collect eggs from the chickens and pick fruit from the orchard.
You may also be lucky enough to see a beautiful sunset and kangaroos in the paddocks.  We enjoyed every minute and will make Freshwater Creek Cottages a regular getaway.

Great place to relax

Book early to avoid disappointment. Set in beautiful nature with lots of activities for kids. Very relaxing & safe. Many nearby attractions & beautiful beaches. Animals to feed, eggs to collect, bike riding, wild kangaroos in the late evening & friendly staff.
