According to the reception person we dealt with, the owner was away and he was filling in, so we have to cut him some slack as dealing with customers was not his strong point.

We booked a ground floor room as we always do as we cannot use stairs. Our booking was confirmed through booking.com and we also received written confirmation for the room (N0. 4) from the owner via email. However on arrival the receptionist tried to give us an upstairs room which we refused. He claimed no such arrangements for a downstairs room had been made despite us having written proof. He claimed our room (No. 4) had not been cleaned as he was not expecting guests. After much ado we were given a ground floor room which was apparently an upgrade on what we had booked.

The room was quite large and well equipped with a large couch and dining setting. It also had a good split system air conditioner. The motel is very well situated in the middle of town within easy walking distance of shops, cafes and the pub.

The motel is badly let down with bad parking arrangements. You are supposed to park on an empty lot at the rear of the motel which has no lighting and consists of a grassed area with a muddy gravel track. If you park here you have to drag your luggage some distance uphill via the muddy track to your room. You are forced to park illegally on the street .

Just a night night visit and happened across this little gem. Price was very reasonable, location excellent and the room and facilities were great and spotless ( even had decent wine glasses and coffee mugs). Manager/owner? was helpful. Room was larger than most at this price. Balcony (on our room ) had some views. Pub was only 100 metres away where we had a nice meal.  Keep up the good work.

Handy to everything in the main town - pub, cafes, etc. Spacious apartments are clean and well equipped. The layout is good and everything you need is there.  Management are helpful and parking is easy. Some apartments have views...  all are an easy walk to the water... A great place for a short stay.

Heart of Metung

Nice reasonable accomodation.  Stayed  for two nights great location next to post office.  Two minutes walk to pub.  Clean nicely appointed rooms great  pool Area with barbecue  couldn’t ask for more.  Microwave and fridge in room plates ect…..

Great stay

Great place to stay in Metung. Easy walking distance around the town and to the hotel for a great meal. Bright, airy room with a comfortable bed and good shower. Easy parking. The pool area looked inviting but did not go in.

Well located

Located right in the town behind the post office, the location is  one of the best in Metung. The apartments are large , clean and have good views. The decor is basic but fine and everything you need is provided. Overall a good place in Metung.

A Good Place To Stay In Metung

Booked at Metung Waters to be central to Metung as we hadn't been there before and wanted to be able to see everything. Metung Waters was a fantastic place - great room, good views and light, plenty of space, and spacious light bright bathroom. Enjoyed the pool, and the walks around Metung.  Management gave helpful advice on places to go, places to eat etc.   Would definitely return.

Great room, great location

Perfect location for overnight stay. Lovely people, clean room with large king size bed which was very comfortable. Large car park at rear, giving safe off street parking. Centrally located, just up from shops and hotel. Nice pool.

Location, location

Metung Waters is excellent value and well located in the centre of the village.  There is a central pool, but the lakes and beaches are literally a stone's throw away.
Management is very friendly and helpful.
Great views from the upper level units especially unit 10

Amazing location

Made a last minute decision to stay overnight in Metung, choosing Metung waters for its location and cost to be honest (very reasonable). Wasn’t disappointed. Located heart of Metung. Very friendly reception. Motel centred around courtyard with a pool.
I’d stay again without any hesitation
