I admit I was a tad dubious about staying here after reading some reviews, but, no I was quite impressed. New, modern pub, tidy, I had room 15 , at the back, away from any noise, not that there was any, all patrons well behaved.
door at rear of room giving access to pub and restaurant ( which by the way had very good food and excellent service).
Parking at door, room nothing flash or modern but clean, decent size, did the job I wanted so happy.
I have stayed at Kadina in past when using the Wallaroo/ Lucky Bay ferry but next time will stay here again


Oodles better than I imagined from reviews

Went there for lunch. They had a kids room but really not much in there in the way of toys (very bare) had a couch and tv... which didn't entertain my smaller kids. They could improve on this for sure! Hubby and I had chicken schnitzels which were delicious!

Great food but could do more with kids room!

An ok night's stay,just a standard pub room set up with a row of rooms out the back. In a side street, although Wallaroo isn't that big. Being Saturday night it was ok for the price but wouldn't be worth it for a weeknight.

Ok for a night

Stayed here for a couple of nights, meals were to die for, great value and staff made it a great couple of nights indeed. Bottleshop was amazing for its range of wines, and prices were EXCELLENT...A must for any traveler.

Travel Lings

Upgraded to the deluxe queen room as was told when booking it was more modern and larger. Turned heating system on but it was causing sinus trouble.  We checked filters in aircon and it was filthy so cleaned it. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable that woke up with sore back . Spoke with housekeeping and the lady was very nice and said she would speak with manager about it. Upon handing keys back the manager was arrogant and rude. He handed me an envelope with $60 and said to contact travel organisers for refund. He was just so rude. Never stay there again.

Not nice

Excellent value for the money, staff very friendly and helpful , terrific selection of wines available in the bottle shop, had the Sunday roast, three courses, top value and very cold beer, will be returning.

Lunch

It's 3am and three couples are all in the room next door. The walls are so thin we can hear every word. There' s lots of swearing. We are two older women with husbands at home, afraid to ring the motel after-hours number, because there may be repercussions. 
There are refurbished rooms in the motel. This is not one of them. The sagging queen bed needs replacing. Litres of water flow down the drain as the hot tap runs for 5 mins for a warm shower.
Included breakfast as confusing. A tray with bowls but nothing to put in them. There was white bread and orange juice.
Wifi advertised but no password.
Dirt under the back door and on the toaster. Dust and dirt in the room under the windows and elsewhere. Shower bottom edges needed a good clean. 
On Saturday a.m. a man noisily using a power vacc swore loudly (really bad language) at someone - made us nervous about pointing out any issues we had with the room, so we kept quiet.
No secondary locks or chains for safety. 
3.36am Now the couples next door are phoning others and inviting them to visit right now. 
There is no microwave & no peace.
Next door they are still swearing every second word and we are wide awake reading some of the appalling reviews for this place. 
I know the 'management', judging by the responses to bad reviews, will say - if they bother- And blame us for not telling them, but we shouldn't have to. Budget shouldn't mean dirty and uncaring. I have never felt so uncomfortable.


Don't go there!

We stayed here for Paskerville Field Days.
The staff were very friendly and the service of high quality!! The bar area they have happy hour that lasts 3 hours. They have special events on that they include everyone.
The room was very clean and made up everyday to a high standard well done house cleaning team!! They were totally blown away by TED yes the bear he even talked to them they were totally amused by him. The Restaurant was amazing and the salad bar was absolutely delicious!! We loved the pies more like gourmet pies full of flavour and goodness well done chief and your team.
Absolutely loved our stay here and will visit again.
Keep the good work up guys you are all 😉 amazing!!

Amazing

Located an easy walk from the main Street, we found the Anglers Inn to be the perfect spot for a stopover on a weekend getaway. The interior of the hotel is updated and inviting. Our deluxe room was neat and tidy with all we needed, including a microwave. A hot shower, nice towels and toiletries are things I notice.

The accommodation is adjacent the hotel and there was some fun conversation outside for awhile after dark with locals, but nothing too disturbing. 

Our service recognition goes to the bistro staff at lunch on Friday 30th. We enjoyed our meals and the lady looked after us well. A young man from the kitchen did well with our meals. The bistro was a gem.

Will keep the Anglers in mind when next in the region.

Great Location, comfortable accommodation

We are disappointed the hotel considers people who came for a meal have priority in receiving their meal, to guests staying at the hotel.   Our group booked every room in the hotel.  On the first night the group waited over two hours for our 3 course meal, whilst non-guests received their meal soon after ordering.  Next morning at breakfast the group was asked to place their dinner orders.  Dinner was at 6pm and we had to leave soon after 7pm for a concert.  Near 7pm some got a main course, others like me had to gulp it down in minutes, other missed their meal completely.  Only a few had dessert because they picked it up from the dining room dessert bar to eat after the concert.    Non-guests who came for a meal that night had priority over hotel guests even though the group had ordered the meal at 8am that morning.  
We are repeat customers staying at the hotel, but never again.  In future we will stay elsewhere in Wallaroo.  So will other group members.
