I was nearing the end of four weeks of extensive travel which included a trip to England and Scotland... returning to Australia to do a road trip to Broken Hill and then Gawler... I was slowing down and really needing to rest. I pulled into the motel much later than I anticipated I would and was fortunate enough to get the last room just as the manager was leaving. 

Customer service here was very good. Location is easy to find and walking distance to eateries. The room looks like a budget room where it meets all your needs, but it is overpriced for what is on offer. I noted a lot of the cars in the lot were 4WD's so they left early the next morning and it was difficult to sleep through the departures. It would have been nice if they had all left around the same time, but it was like they were tag teaming... one would leave... another would wake up... make noise and leave. This was no fault of the motel... it was just noisy. 

Pros and cons... 

Stopped for one night as many Mildura properties were booked out. Good location next to the pub and on the Calder. We had an upstairs room and didn't get road noise. Room was comfortable and clean. Towels were a bit shabby. 

Convenience one night stay

Great stay here , was a simple over nighter to break up a larger trip. Dean was happy to suggest places for dinner which were all in walking distance - so good after spending all day in the car. The room was simple and comfortable, great water pressure in the shower and a toaster and kettle for those needing to self cater. Highly recommend this great little motel.

Perfect hosts , country hospitality 

I was very happy with the Staff's Accommodating Manner, Informative about area, and comfortable and cleanliness of the rooms.
I will be staying here again, as we intend to travel to this region each month for business. May even bring my Grandchildren up for a holiday trip too.

Great Accommodation and Friendly Atmosphere

We wanted to stay here in early June and liked that it was pet friendly.  We advised the manager upon reservation that we would be travellin with 2 small dogs who travel and sleep in their crates.  After accepting the booking, days later the manager advised us that they were no longer taking visitors with dogs but that in our case they would accept us if we paid an extra $40 per night per dog.  Frankly, felt like they were taking advantage of us. We have now booked what looks like a very pretty Air BNB accommodation who has made us feel very welcome with our well behaved and contained dogs.

Didn't stay here - wanted to, though

Immaculately clean and well presented rooms, with great showers, comfy beds and, just around the corner from supermarket and park and quaint shops.Rooms had bar-fridges and kitchenette. A very nice place to stay. (We had 3 adults and 3 children in two connecting rooms, both with bathrooms). Also very reasonably priced for school holidays.

Pool, courtyard with BBQ, Friendly owners

This motel was a brief walk from the PTV/BusLink and V/Line coach stoip but fronted the highway in part so avoid rooms 1 to 3.

Mine hosts weree friendly.

There are only stairs: I had a first floor twin room.

The bedding (a Queen and a single) was excellent quality with crisp white sheets including the important top sheet.

Lighting was by three wall lights.  Tea and coffee plus UHT milk were provided.

The bedroom was pleasantly carpeted in a rich russet tone.  There was a long shelf, wardrobe, modern silent aircon and minibar plus (unusually for Oz) a microwave.

Hot water worked well.  The shower was a little small and had a cracked tile.  Lighting in the bathroom and the fan were adequate.

A good continental brekky was included.

Overall a very good stay.

Very good but avoid rooms 1 to 3

My stay was nice, but you struggle to park our car in the parking allocated as it is way too small for that many vehicles in such a small area, watching in the morning how some people were hitting other vehicle doors from just trying to enter there own car.

Nice motel but very cramped parking

Stayed 2 nights in the Red Cliffs Colonial Motor Lodge as we had a function in town. Motel is dated but room was clean, bed comfortable and staff very helpful, pub next door, Red Cliffs club over the road and an IGA next street down, which is convenient as we had a toaster and microwave.  Had a spa bath in our room but didn't use it. Only 15 minutes from Mildura. Yeah you get a bit of road noise due to the proximity to the main highway, but ear plugs cut all that and noisy neighbours out and both night had a pleasant sleep! Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Comfortable Budget Motel
