I spent three nights in this wonderful house, and although the circumstances of my trip were not so pleasant, I felt incredibly comfortable in the bathhouse. This was mainly because the historic house and the rooms are charmingly decorated. Everything is clean and you can see in the interior that everything was designed with a lot of love. Every day I discovered something new that made me wonder and smile. The WiFi worked wonderfully and I could work without interruption. But all this would be nothing without the incredibly friendly and empathetic hosts and staff. Thank you for everything! I will be back for sure!

Unique and enchanting!

This is a historic house with great attention to detail, which surprised us! Very friendly care and good breakfast! The restaurant offers excellent dining (Falstaff Award). Absolutely recommended! We are happy to come back!

Very friendly reception, everything very clean, pure ambiance - mix of old and new perfectly managed, own parking space, Wi-Fi works perfectly, breakfast is all there is, quiet location and yet in the center there's nothing to improve, everything perfect.

If you're looking for a nice 0815 hotel, you're definitely wrong here. But once you're in a very original, lovingly crafted house, you're right here. The room is generous with a relaxing view of the wall - but the breakfast room surpasses everything. The carefully and at the same time courageously renovated old room of this former brothel and bath house - by the way, the oldest house in the city - offers a lot of loving and eye-catching details. Here you can enjoy the excellent breakfast twice as much.

How a night becomes an experience...👍

It's a very colourful and unique hotel, nice staff, very clean and spacious, we slept in a separate saloon, we went back and forth, how beautiful and unique it is, and there's a lot of love in the details, and we 'll definitely be back.

It's a must-see.

A large and cool room where special, old-fashioned furniture with modern pieces are in perfect harmony. A snack served lovingly in a small museum. Good location for various enterprises. Absolutely recommended.

one-off

We decided to buy this boarding house because of the good location in the center of town. What we expected was a lovingly renovated old house that looked more like a museum. The whole building is rather rustic and has a lot of character. Each bedroom is designed in a different theme. For example, in our piano room, elements of a piano serve as a desk and the lid of the wing hangs over the bed.

Creative themed rooms

First point is if you come by rail, have the taxi take you via the post office or you could get dumped in the lower street and have to haul everything up hill. This is not easy with big bags. It is a very easy 800m walk from the station - it is mostly flat, just go down the lane next to the post office.

The building is an old multi-story with narrow, steep stairs to most of the rooms. The rooms are nice - we checked 3 of them. If you get the choice of the two top floor ones, be aware the one to the right (low archway to the sleeping area) has a see-through bathroom. 

Inge & Edmund are great hosts and very helpful. The breakfast is a great spread of local breads, meats and cheeses.

There is a supermarket (Billa) about 10 min walk away. If you go straight to the top of the square to the Rathaus (council building/town hall) & go right, just behind the Pankraz 1499 (drop in for a drink or 2, great people run it) is the Tourist Office. The ladies in here couldn't have been more helpful.

Good location, lovely people

We had a small family party, and we used to go to the bathhouse and eat at the winery. Everyone was thrilled with the overall package. Both the great rooms, the friendly reception at the boarding house, the good food at the winery. We can only warmly recommend this.

Exceptional

My room was the Badesstube, with the bathtub next to the bed, very busy with cyclists, in the vicinity there are many restaurants open until late.
