The accommodation is located in the middle of the lovely old town. Walking distance from the bakery and the small local supermarket. Plenty of restaurants around but only a few open for diner. Make sure you make a reservation.
We stayed in flat 1. Can accommodate 4,  but max 2 adults and 1 or two kids would be appropriate.
Kitchen is well equipped. Main bedroom and bathroom good size. There is a connecting door (locked) to the next flat in the main bedroom, that is a big negative when the neighbors are loud ( which some were) at night because everything can be heard.
There are a tabel and chairs at the terras, only 3 chairs, and pretty uncomfortable ones. The 2 relax chairs that are also outside are ok. The sun umbrella was broken when we arrived and despite reporting this immediately and sending a reminder, it did not get fixed during our 7 days stay. Since no shadow at the terras most of the day, it was not possible to stay outside without the umbrella.

Noisy and poor service

Very fine apartments. The apartments are very unique. You feel at home. It's spacious and clean. The cake is fully equipped. But I have to wake up to the fact that the apartments are not suitable for people with disabilities. People who are confined to mobile phones, are weak on the legs or do not climb stairs I'm advising you to get out of the apartments. There is a super clean barbecue area. There is a sauna and a shoe terrace. There is a point deduction for the non-functioning drainage in the shower. Coffee drinkers should go to the safe number and take coffee with them. Coffee is put to the test. We were unfortunately allowed to stay in the room and we have coffee in the morning without having to pass. If you have a super air conditioner, the last person to come to the bathroom is a woman.

Like at home.

Nice location a few steps from the sweet downtown, a faucet in the garden on the slope overlooking the Danube is great, apartment 1 rustic and rustically furnished, in a few minutes you can reach some heurie-local, e.g. the Old Press House is highly recommended, honest, good and cheap food

Great place to stay

It's a great place, but unfortunately, the great apartments themselves don't seem to be maintained enough. It's a shame. The apartments seem to have come of age.

No longer adequately maintained

Everything is perfect: style, decoration, typical and warm. Really very good. One thing: there is no climate and when it's hot, it's hard to sleep in such heat. Note that there is no shelf or curtain in the children's room, we have to make something so that they don't wake up at 6 a.m. (and we also at the same time): it's a shame because this point could be easily corrected by adding blinds.

Very warm, well located

A huge apartment in a gorgeous location in a quaint medieval village right on the Danube. It had everything we needed and more - complimentary fruit bowl, lots of fresh linen, all sorts of special touches etc. It is a perfect base for biking and sightseeing up and down the Danube.
It is connected to the Durnstein Hotel Schloss so go and ask them for any help needed. We did not get the email telling us how to get into the apartment and it was good luck that the porter from the Hotel happened to turn up otherwise we would still be waiting outside!
There are lots of stairs and things to trip over so only for agile and able bodied travellers.

Wonderful place to stay

Spent a great week with friends in the Wachau, visited various wineries and enjoyed the countryside.

I highly recommend it.

I was with friends for an extended weekend at the Heritage. Great apartments that are lovingly decorated. Have you used the opportunity to have breakfast at the Hotel Schloss Dürnstein, which is worth your money, including the view from the terrace to the Danube!!! For the planning of wine tastings, heirloom visits and bicycle tours we were also very friendly and competent! We crowned our stay with a 5-course menu with wine accompanied back in the Schloss Dürnstein, which was an experience! We will definitely come!!!

That's great.

The apartment was tastefully redone with unique decor and appointments.  The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and it was very clean.  The dining room table was made from old wood and was very cool.  A sliding door lead to a terrace with a barrel tub and a sauna above.  There was free use of a washer and dryer.  It was convenient to the "action" of Durnstein, but without the noise.  The downside was the parking outside of town.  It was not much of a problem to haul our suitcases up the hill, but some might find it a difficult hike.  I would suggest clearer instructions on finding the apartment and clarification of which apartment has been booked, as there are 3.

Great place

This is a lovely newly refurbished modern apartment in a very quaint town. Apartment of very good quality. Bedrooms all very comfortable, plenty of room to sit and use of washing machine and tumble dryer. Good bike storage. Not easy to find up the back streets and it would be better to tell you to go to the hotel for the instructions/keys as we weren't sure which apartment we were in and the key box wasn't working so needed to go to the hotel anyway. Check out very early at 10am, but we asked and they agreed we could stay until 11am. There were 5 of us, although it does sleep 7 and I think only one bathroom for that many would be an issue. We were only there for one night so no problem.
