Great idea to rebuild the casket as a hotel, but poor implementation the quietness in the surroundings counts no more either - constantly changing guest (1 night) make things rather tireless - the rooms look more like boat booths with flavor - the hotel offers no extras like sauna or pool, thus a yoga trip of the quiet for inactive spirits - the staff is often very nice, the service has a lot of air up - the rooms are purely breakfast buffet that meets the Easter standard of 2023, but with much worse bakery - in which the natural stone to the parking lot is unlit and one turns to the handy lamp direction hotel fazit - back to the purest - the level brings nothing to the lowest even for a nice bike ride -

The quiet of the environment counts, there's nothing more.

The place on the terrace was pleasant, the service was superficially friendly, but overall it was supported by a slightly aggressive sales ideology. The waiter tried to convey to me the feeling that a soup was absolutely necessary - otherwise I'm just not a good guest. We had a salad from the buffet. There was already a great shortage of freshness here. The tomatoes, for example, were on the edge of enjoyment. We had then roasted the carp. Unfortunately, it was completely salted, plus potatoes. No sauce tartar, for example, so dry. We can't recommend the restaurant.

Salted carp

There are great = cheap arrangements for the casket. 2 nights plus breakfast, 1 x 3 bar menu 1 x 4 bar menu with wine. Price unbeatable (about 350 € for 2 people). Very attentive, room impeccable; large, friendly, with everything in it. Good breakfast. Dog no problem (even in the restaurant). Delicious machine! In fact 4 **** Where is the 5th point? There are little things: of course smokers* are a minority, but these too have earned a prominent spot outdoors plus ashes cups.

It's a great arrangement.

The hotel service is nice, the personnel is very friendly and professional. 
The food is really tasty, and there’s always something to eat, no matter what time it is.
The ambience one finds themselves in is great, and the lobby is very comfortable to sit in.

Good service, good food, good atmosphere

We were at your house for 4 days at the end of July, having booked the Meierhof to avoid the hotel noise. We were not aware that the cleanliness standards of a 4-star hotel in the neighboring building did not apply. The shower was only clean on the first day, the spider web between curtains, frame and under the desk kept us all staying. But the worst were the cockroaches! We hadn't thought that in Austria you would be bitten by cockroaches in the night in a 4-star hotel! Right on the second day in the morning we reported it very much at the reception, got a little excuse to look for a lasting product (although with the slightest impression, the problem was unfortunately not known), the situation didn't turn out well. Even in the forest, the remaining 4 star hotel, we would certainly not be offered a quality cockroach at the next visit.

Cockroaches in the room!

Basically we were satisfied with this house and can easily recommend it. There are some small problems that I will explain later. The rooms are relatively cool due to the thick walls. In times of heat waves it is pleasant to live here. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The environment offers a lot to take excursions from here. Both beyond the wine district and deeper into the forest district. As well as in the parks. There are large castles and castles. There are good restaurants and also condos (a little further away).

Very suitable for a nice and pleasant short vacation

Unique service with a very friendly staff! Breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and everything fresh with very good quality. Very nice ambience and good quiet location with beautiful views of the Strait of Geras. Highly recommended!!! There are plenty of parking spaces, beautiful walking routes.

A hotel to recommend!!!

We can only recommend the Hotel Schüttkasten Geras! Everything very clean, the kitchen excellent, the staff top, the leisure offer for a short vacation very satisfactory. Everything in all has everything fit!

Our short vacation was very nice, it really fit everything! Especially the service stood out for kindness.

Friendly reception, very good restaurant, gallery available with purchase option, all staff very friendly and well trained, very well equipped room with small refrigerator (filled), the double bed was too narrow for us,
