Haus Friedl was a great option for our long weekend trip in Kitzbühel. The host family is extremely nice and available for any need, you see the passion in what they do because of the attention they put to all the smallest details about their guests (for example our breakfast preferences!). Location is perfect to reach the town center and the ski areas nearby; the rooms are spacious, clean and bright. We stayed there during the high season and the price was definitely competitive. Would recommend it to anyone!

Pleasant long weekend stay

An amazing location,  simple and family,  with a wonderful view on the mountains! Clean,  quiet,  near a river,  close to the historical center and the lifts. Maria is a very kind guest,  she helps you for everything you need!

After arriving to Haus Friedl feeling poorly i was soon to realize how hospitable Maria the owner is! Been out of town by 10 mins Maria drove me to the pharmacy and back to rest. She then made me a pot of Greek tea and brought it up to me while i rested on the balcony. The breakfast is Great and Maria and her mum take the time to make you welcome everyday. The rooms are spotless with great amenities. Been just outside the town the views are even better! After an accident with a broken cup of coffee up the Horn, when returning Maria offered to wash my clothes as i was covered head to toe in coffee. Then finally having to leave Maria offered me a lift to the train station! All in all i think you would be hard pushed to find a more hospitable Host.

Mardi and the Friedl Haus are both keepers.  Nested between two farms (both are bio's) the first thing we heard in the morning (after K's distant church bells) was the music of cow bells.  I think Mardi has them trained for breakfast call.  Which (breakfast) is more than enough with endless tea or coffee with a smile.  The room and wrap around balcony (with chairs/tables) were simply every bit a person would want.  Okay, we're a couple of oldies that like to walk in the countryside/do trails but not scale cliffs or paraglide into the next life. The walk to Kitzbuhel is an easy short 20 minutes.  (And if you are into summer walking Kitzbuhel and the surrounding area are a close second to the Swiss Engadine.)  Mardi (the proprietress and chief bottle washer) is good with email quick turn-arounds and suggestions for day trips and places to eat in Kitzbuhel.  Again the Friedl House is a first choice for folks that like fresh air, pleasant company, and the sound of cow bells.

We've been to Friedl's for a rough week in July, and I can highly recommend the accommodation, a great, quiet location with a great view, a very friendly and eager host and a good breakfast.

Great Hospitality

My wife and I spent a week in Kitzbuhel at Friedl Haus and we had a great time. Maria and her mother who run the B&B are wonderful and friendly people. Breakfast was very filling and Maria changed the items if we asked to keep a variety. the rooms are a bit small, but very comfortable and immaculately clean. Besides, after dropping off the skis and other gear in the garage and downstairs, there was plenty of room. The B&B is within 7 min walk to the main gondola lift and away from the noisy downtown, so the location is perfect - it's close to everything yet it is quiet. Unfortunately, I broke my leg on the last day of skiing and Maria was great - she drove my wife to the hospital and back twice, helped find another hotel in the nearby town where the hospital was and after all refused to take any money for gas! She also came to see how I was doing a few days later. It was simply amazing what a wonderful person she is. I would highly recommend staying at Friedl Haus. We will certainly be back.

Great Place, Amazing Owners

In the town of Kitzbühel, you can also find real hospitality - the hostess is really trying, the room (with balcony and beautiful view) has a nice newly renovated bathroom - and you don't need much space in the room because there is a comfortable living room.
