I used to go to Lannach for business and stay there for a few days. Very nice family and lovely beds. Breakfast is always a pleasure.

Always happy

A very friendly host family with friendly and modern accommodation. Anytime access is granted and you sleep really beautifully quiet, the surroundings are great! You get a fine breakfast and if you want a drink after the night, you can enjoy yourself in a central fridge.

The Zanglhof Breakfast Pension is located just outside Lannach in a beautiful landscape. The rooms are well equipped and breakfast is very varied. The pension is also suitable for a longer stay enjoying wine and landscape.

Breakfast with charm and good service

First of all, Mr. Martin, the manager, was very nice to let us arrive late at night, leaving us the keys... and then a very clean room overlooking a beautiful valley and breakfast with so many typical products.

Very quiet location with a beautiful view. Exactly the right one, after a stressful day. Although it may seem a bit remote, it's an excellent starting point for activities in the south of Graz. Very friendly staff.

Quiet and friendly breakfast

We stayed here the nights of April 12-14, 2014.  Thanks to our GPS, we were able to find this place hidden away in the hills near Graz.  It is a working pumpkin farm, producing a delicious oil, but the BB itself is a lovely and seemingly fairly new two level house in this rural farming area.

The owner wasn't home when we arrived, but there was a note to us on the front entrance with our room key (something one wouldn't do back home in the US).  We were also greeted by a pleasant man, a German engineer, who was staying here long-term on a work assignment in Graz.  He showed us around downstairs and filled us in on the particulars of the place.  As we found out later, he was quite a delightful fellow and we had some interesting conversations about Austria and the U.S.  The owner arrived later and checked to see that we were well situated.

The downstairs area had a large breakfast dining area plus sink, microwave, coffee-maker, refrigerator as well as a range of treats, some free, others pay on the honor system.

The room was good-sized with a desk/chair; wardrobe, TV, and separate bath and toilet rooms.  It was comfortable and quite adequate.

Breakfast the first morning was 5 Euros, but turned out to be rather sparse for the cost.  The second and third mornings we ate on our own.  The owner had no quibble with this.

Interesting to note that the entire house is heated by wood chips, keeping the place warm and easy to regulate temperatures.

The local neighborhood has some quaint old buildings and barns, and the smallest old chapel I have ever seen.  Apparently, they have ceased using this for services because most of the members have died.  There are also a number of friendly cats to keep one occupied.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.  It was quiet, charming and comfortable.  We would stay here again without hesitation.  They even gave us a sample bottle of their pumpkin oil, excellent for salad dressing.
