Central location with bike room inside. Large and clean rooms. What struck us most but was the kindness and availability of the staff. Even breakfast was well prepared, we felt at home

We stayed one night during our Danube cycle stages, positive that the girl at our arrival fradici x a rainstorm gave us the room two hours early... the structure really needs a renovation room and bathroom small... to us cmq for one night was ok we spent 80 euros in total, excellent and abundant breakfast...

The boarding house is cheap and easy to set up. The rooms are quite large. Breakfast is easy to keep. Unfortunately, there is no cereal. The boarding house is very centrally located in the market square. So the price-performance ratio is very good.

It is cheap.

It’s a budget hotel. Interesting building that used to be a postal service building when coach and horses were used. Clean but old fashioned( and not in a good way! )  rooms. Quiet. Very central location. Space to park bikes in a storage room. Breakfast usual Austrian style and perfectly fine. Our only issue was that when we went to check out we were told they only took cash. Nowhere was this mentioned so my husband had to draw money from a cash machine in order to settle the bill which he was cross about! 

If i would book a place for great location at a budget price, then this would be it! Nothing else to talk about this place. the rooms are small and no table fan in room considering Melk was too warm in early June. Breakfast was very ordinary. however i would book this place again only because i want to stay a great location at a budget price.

Great location nothing else

This hotel offers value for money. You can expect no luxuries but you will find friendly staff that welcome you with a smile.
Our double room was big but basic with good breakfast included. Very good location in the heart of Melk & unbeatable price for the area.

Good value for money

As part of our cycling trip along the Danube, we made a stopover here. Already at the time of booking, we wanted a room in a quiet location. This wish was also fulfilled. We had a room in the courtyard. The room was large. The view from the window was to a blank wall. The critical point of the room was definitely the passing mattresses. They should definitely be changed. The breakfast included in the price was sufficient.

Staying for one night

Melk has many tourists and can be hard to find accommodations.  This is a little cheaper than the usual.  Decor is a bit odd.  Inner courtyard can have noise.  A little dated.  Recommend eating somewhere else.

An old hotel under new management

All the rooms without air conditioning. Many even without bathroom in the room. The bathroom is along the corridors. Each room has its own but you have to get out of the room and walk a few meters to access it. Contracted 60 euros per night per room. They manage the structure of the extra-community... I don't know if Indians or Pakistanis... with a little suspicion... and they have difficulty speaking English. There is a small parking space of the facility in an inner courtyard but there are very few cars for them to park on the street. From 6 to 9 am there is no need to pay... then the ticket costs 0.50 cents an hour.

Poor quality ratio price

The rooms are fine, the location is about as good as you can get in Melk (right in the touristy old town area and only a short walk to the abbey and cruise boats), the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Value for money was great also.
