I had booked the hotel for an overnight stay on the way back from Hungary to Munich to visit friends and arrived at the hotel sooner than planned. I could immediately enter the room and were surprised that there was even a nice elevator in the small hotel. Check-in was extremely friendly and the owner or tenant couple took care of all matters without being intrusive. There was also a friendly dog to the son, who immediately loved my wife and committed her to the little house girl... The room had a small balcony, it was modern and well furnished and it was all in front of us.

Family friendly little hotel

Everything was fine here. A very friendly host, very nice rooms and a great SPA. The rooms are decorated in high quality (full-wood cabinets, large TVs, WLAN). The breakfast was fine and according to my own claim of organic production. The sauna is heated on demand. The SPA is clean, also modern decorated and equipped with towels and bath towels. In the immediate vicinity there is the city centre of Perchtoldsdorf as well as numerous wine shops and bus stations. Next time I would like to come back here for a holiday with the family. Without restriction to recommendations!

Comfortable, beautiful rooms, sauna & central

The hotel Perchtoldsdorf is great! Roman is a nice place to stay. Breakfast is served with fresh chickpeas, and generally it's cozy and shows in the morning. It's convenient to walk to and highly recommended.

Came here as the normal hotel we use in Vienna was full. The town is small but  interesting. Enjoyed the stay with friendly host and a great breakfast.  The beds are a bit small and the rooms basic but for the money... Great value.

Great value

We just returned from two nights at the Hotel Perchtoldsdorf.  We had just left Croatia where we had stayed in a luxury hotel.  Since that was the case, our initial thought was that perhaps our room seemed a little sparse.  While it certainly doesn't rank with a luxury hotel, we very quickly caught on to the charm of this hotel and the owner, Roman.

He let us get settled and then offered to take us for a little tour of the village and nearby vineyards on his golf cart.  It was great!  It's a charming village and we thus got our bearings.  

We inquired as to where we could eat that would be nearby, perhaps a restaurant connected to a vineyard or something of that sort.  He suggested a wine house just down the street and walked us down there to acquaint us with it and to also help us order since we would have a language barrier.  It was the most darling place that we went back to time after time!  Each time we would order a sizable meal and wine and the meal would average $13-$17 euro per couple.  Can't beat that!  And, it had a cozy garden area in the back that was the perfect setting to enjoy a European meal. 

The breakfast at the Hotel Perchtoldsdorf is amazing!  Very extensive and high quality.  Fresh fruit and veggies, fresh breads, pastries and cheeses and a traditional cake baked by Silvia, the breakfast attendant.  It is the recipe of Roman's grandmother.  There is also a cappucino machine for any sort of morning coffee and Silvia prepared made-to-order eggs as requested.

I will mention two negatives that we experienced but they are way beyond the control of the hotel.  We happened to be there during an unusually hot spell, hovering around 100 degrees F.  Since those temps are so uncommon, a/c is not common.  We suffered a bit when trying to sleep.  We did request a fan and Roman was kind enough to borrow one from a neighbor and that was our salvation.  A second thing is that since we were desperate for air movement we had our windows wide open and frequently smelled cigarette smoke.  Several times I peeked out of the window to see if I could determine where it was coming from and I couldn't see anyone.  I really believe it was coming from someone else's backyard and that is beyond their control.

I rarely write reviews but in this case knew I wanted to.  We would definitely stay at this hotel again.  It was a wonderful experience.  We appreciated Roman's hospitality and enjoyed his sense of humor.

Charming Village Feel, Personable Proprieter

A small, anonymous hotel in the south of Vienna welcomes me into an unexpected evening of rain and cold wind like an oasis in the desert: warmth, sympathy, hospitality. A Spartan room (number 2) welcomes me quietly, I miss the water, I go out to look for it, there is a nice refrigerator at the end of the corridor from which you can draw...brave! A nice Latvian welcomes me tired, and who sleeps in the total silence that surrounds me! The next morning's breakfast is superb: I come back to this hotel just for that!

Good stop on the road to Vienna

For work I travel a lot..and over time the love I had for the big hotels, in the central area etc etc. is gone. In the evening you look for tranquility, relaxation! That's when you look for quiet, historical places (in this case south of Vienna) to relax you. One of these with the difficult name is the town of PERCHTOLDSDORF with its castle its village and its history.

Little and hidden... his fortune?

This is one nice, quiet and not too fancy place; a real gem in a beautifully quiet village. Clean and cozy, beautifully appointed in the medium price range... about $100USD/night and includes a fabulous breakfast buffet and endlessly delicious cappuccino... made even more delicious while enjoyed in the small garden in front of the entrance.

Roman is a most gracious host and will take you for a small tour of the town and the wine houses upon your arrival, then find you a parking space. He and his family own and operate the hotel, so the feeling is very chill and family-like.

This village is off the beaten path and is not very touristy. You will find many small shops and eateries here. DO NOT MISS Enoteca Amici Miei; an italian restaurant brimming with wines, meats and cheeses, if that's your thing. An international dining sensation and an elegant expression of simplicity and detail. This is where the locals hang in the evening and it is no small wonder as to why.

Stay here, relax and enjoy all of the comforts. Roman will help you with everything, including arranging local activities.
