It's a great hotel right next to an old castle with a great view, and we were so warmly welcomed by the boss and treated with great care, and the view is a dream and the peace is fantastic for the townspeople.

Class view, absolute peace & friendly owners

Through a winding road climbing in the mountain we passed an old castle before arriving at this big White House overlooking the Donau.
Simone is a very cheerful and elegant lady who welcomed us . The room is simple but confortable but the view and the breakfast on the next morning were fantastic.
We felt at home and look forward to spending more time with the Falkner to discover more about this beautiful part of Austria.


Wonderful location and hosts

The hotel is simple, very comfortable and unpretentious. The living room where the excellent breakfast is held reveals the general character: warm, welcoming and very friendly. The owners are charming and very attentive, you feel like family but it is never overwhelming. The view overlooking the Danube from the rooms, the living room and the beautiful terrace is literally breathtaking. Authentic and warm stage!

A wonderful step

The hotel is in a beautiful classic mansion, has a fantastic view over woods and the Danube. The host is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is impressive. Overall, superb. But it is a little far from restaurants and city centre. 

Beautiful

We stayed in this hotel in August 2015. It is a very nice clean hotel with a great view over the Danube. Perfect for a relaxed weekend, but also as a base for a longer stay since the region is packed with stuff to do and see. The hotel has it's own indoor swimming pool, sauna. In the evening there is the posibility to have diner, which I can strongly recommend since the owner is an incredible cook.

However, what makes this hotel really stand out from the others are the owners. They are very warm and friendly people who go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We will definitely come back.

Nice, relaxed, great view, friendly owners

As regular guests, we had mixed feelings about whether this new concept could convince us. The country house is still run with great love for detail. Only five rooms are offered so that you can find plenty of peace on the magnificent Danube terrace or in the winter garden. Everything is very clean and well maintained. A rich and varied breakfast is the basis for possible excursions to the historic area or sports activities on the nearby golf courses.

The host couple is something special, very lovable and kind people with a very personal relationship with their guests. The location is unbeatable with a view over the Danube and the sunset etc. Sunset. The hiking and excursion facilities are great. Our room was 60s style and relatively small. Okay, we don't live there but we just sleep there, but the bathroom is not 4* standard. That's not possible, rosé tiles, a shower with a shower and a basement bath like my 87 year old mother's home. Everything very small and very dark but definitely a very high place to eat.

It's difficult, very difficult.

My sister and I have already spent a weekend with the lovely Falkners for the third time. This late-summer weekend has been almost heavenly. In and around the Land Hotel Falkner you can do a lot of things or simply enjoy the beautiful, cozy atmosphere of the house. There are many different and challenging walks that start right in front of the door, e.g. the Labyrinth Way is highly recommended, for golf lovers there are some great options, massage, sauna, pool, best personal library - here is hardly a wish to be discovered.

Excellent host in the Kleinod ob the Danube

My wife and I have had the pleasure of being guests of the Falkner family for the fourth time in the last 10 years. Maximilian Falkner is responsible for culinary matters and is always a very pleasant experience. So it is high time for a first recommendation on TripAdvisor. The hotel is small and offers a very family-friendly atmosphere with its few rooms. In addition to the nice and variedly designed rooms, this is essentially the merit of the Falkner family. Maximilian Falkner is responsible for the culinary matters and surprises every day with 3 well-cooked meals to choose from (meat, fish or vegetarian).
