We originally booked the apartment , which was advertised as a two bedroom unit, in about Septmber 2019 for a planned  four night stay in April 2020. We paid  up front in full, as was required, planning to share the apartment with another couple.
When COVID hit we had to cancel our travel plans as we were unable to leave Australia. Unlike 5 other accommodation providers we had booked, the proprietors of Kunsthaus Apartments refused to give us a refund but eventually  after quite a bit of correspondence they allowed us to delay the booking until August 2022.
I received a booking confirmation notice about 10 days before our stay in August 2022 to which I replied.
When we arrived at the unit after very long flights, much to our disappointment, there were no keys for us. After about 4 phonecalls someone eventually arrived and apologised as they said they did not know we were coming.

We had to wait for more than an hour while the accommodation was cleaned.
On entering the 'two bedroom unit' we found one room with a double and single bed squashed into it , a very small box room with an old wardrobe( not enough room for a bed), and a living room with an old single bed and various other odd bits of furniture. This arrangement was totally unsuitable for the two couples for whom it had been booked.

The bath towels provided were threadbare and there were no hand towels for the bathroom. The kitchen had been renovated and was reasonably well equipped but there was no kettle. I emailed the proprieters to request some handtowels and a kettle and follwed up with another request 24 hours later when I had not received a response.

The units are in a convenient location but our experience there was really disappointing.

It was not what we expected.

I booked one room by phone but the hotel just simply cancelled without any explain. on the day of the travelling I called them to have some information about the rooms ecipments and just said oops' you do not have booking.
If you don't want to have suprise this hotel is not recommended.

So, Kunsthaus Apartments rents other people's properties and they are not professional at all.. they provide a number to call for assistance in case of some unexpected situations but they never respond..
On the second day of the stay the heating system broke and we had not hot water and no heating in the house and to this day they never bothered to answer to my messages and claim..no apologies offered no money returned..they basically do not care about the guests..as long as they got your money, the rest is not important.. Still to this day  they do not take responsibility but they make booking.com give me a 50 eur compensation as a pity reward!

UNPROFESSIONAL HOST, LACK OF SERVICE, DO NOT RECOMMEND

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip due to Corona, and the cancellation was made, as agreed, free of charge, but despite repeated warnings, the price was not paid back after months.

Valuation Kunsthaus Wien - very warm, too loud when windows open Total calcification of the shower breaks, beam in all directions mold After the shower the bathroom swims, impurities washbasins and shower kitchen is not adequately equipped No normal coffee machine (you can buy capsules in the office completely overpriced, but here it is the cheapest from Aldi) water boiler totally calcified, unsightly too soft, tension towel too small, always flows off defective cleaning carpet under the dining table crushed and at the edges already crumpled

There could be better.

We've been trying to get our money back since November 2020. In vain!!! We had to cancel because of the Corona situation and we did it on time. We called x times, emailed. No chance. Now we only have one lawyer left.

No refund for cancellation of Corona

I made a reservation (with free cancellation) for 2021 when it was not clear on the announcement that the payment would be instant. After being debited the next day, I tried to contact the hotel to cancel the transaction without ever getting any response. Booking could only tell me that he had 30 days to do so and that the payment would appear at a maximum of 15 working days later. So after 45 days....I'm still waiting for my refund 😭 No response from the hotel after 4 emails!

Fantastic location with breathtaking views. The rooms in the attic have a gorgeous view on the  Prater, the Donau Kanal and the small rooftop terrace is just perfect to toast with a glass of bubbly before you head out to explore the city!

I keep coming back for more

Great apartment, well equipped. American kitchen, dining room and room, all united. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is well, functional and complete, with shower dishes. The kitchen is very well equipped: toaster, microwave, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, vitro... There is a sofa so you can rest a little. It is on a 4 floor with elevator 😊. There are supermarkets nearby. Very quiet area both day and night. Very well located, across the canal, in front of the amusement park (10 minutes). If you arrive walking to the center. The reception girl was very friendly, always with a smile and Spanish habólaba 😊😊, we repeat Enchanted Nos. 100% recommended.
