The rest of the hotel is really in the 60's. The bar is old, the breakfast is bad (this morning we asked for brioches and we heard the answer: ah, they're finished! so there's not much else needed except the bread, the marmalades and some cheeses and slices), the room is a little decaying (the bathroom handle was falling apart). I don't give two stars just because the location saves it: very comfortable in the center, although I advise you not to sleep in the room on the grand square because you might not ask to close your eyes for the nightly chaos.

The potion is less bad.

It is a poor structure in all respects. It is neglected, decaying, poorly cleaned if not indecent. It is an old and very dirty mock-up everywhere, the dust is centuries old. Breakfast is not to be said ashamed of both quality and hygiene (although we paid for the last three days we opted for a pastry shop). The cost is disproportionate to the poor quality of the services offered.

Carefully Avoid

The room was quite large with a queen size bed in a loft, a full size and a single downstairs. The beds were comfortable, the furniture quite dated but adequate. The shower was awful... a bath tub with a shower head on a six foot length of hose lying in the bottom with no place to hang it.  The bathroom door handle came off twice during our stay, this was reported to the desk but not fixed prior to our departure two days later. Like many “vintage” hotels the room had heat but no cooling.. we were there during a heat wave with temperature in the mid eighties and had to leave the windows fully open all night to be able to sleep.. a bit disconcerting in the center of a large city.. the view from our room was of the air conditioning and service area In the center of the roof with walls surrounding it. On the plus side a great included breakfast was served in the dining room every morning.

Large but dated suite

This hotel was a rat hole. It is not appropriate for anyone. It is "DIRTY", filthy, and very noisy. There were cigarette burn holes in the comforter on the bed. They didn't light the hallways of the floors the rooms were on.

Discrete hotel located in the centre of Brussels... simple rooms but comfortable and clean... staff able enough... breakfast not worth the 14€ spent... hotel that for the location is definitely convenient...

Good location.

It's a decadent looking hotel and a little old...it would certainly need a nice refurbishment and the cost of the rooms is a little high for what it offers.

Decadent and essential but in excellent condition

This hotel need cleaning,... There is no WiFi in the room...the breakfast was not interesting....

But location was great, in the middle of Christmas marked, and not far away from shopping street..

The staff at the lobby was great 

Not good

Location 5 stars BUT don't expect too much. Breakfast is quite good, but don't expect a lot. The staff we saw were very friendly to us. The view was great, especially during the lightsfestival. Even if it was central, we heard no noise. Bed was very comfy

Great location BUT...

The hotel is very central, everything is within walking distance, you get a sense of life in the middle, the breakfast is simple but very sufficient, the room was well, you can't have everything in life.:-)

I'm still grateful for changing my booking and not charging me for the first night I didn't enjoy it because of a plane strike. The first night my cell phone struggled to connect to the wifi but then I had no more problems. The room was rather quiet despite being in the middle.
