We stayed in this hostel because of a problem with the original accommodation we had reserved.At the time of the Olympics finding accommodation was difficult, they looked after us very well and helped us with the problems we had.Thank you COPA FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Comfortable, very good attention.

Our trip was not a disaster because we found the "Copa Fun Hostel".
We had the horrible experience of renting an apartment, and when we arrived, there was no apartment.
We were indicadicado this hostel. Who served us wonderfully, it seems that we were in our home. Thanks to all the staff for showing us that Rio de Janeiro can be so wonderful.
And when we return one day we want that delicious cake again.
Certainly indicate the Copa Fun, being on simplicity, an excellent way of hosting.

Definitely we come back here

This was a great budget place to stay. A bit crowded around Carnaval time, but to be expected. Tatiana and Vivian were great hosts who both spoke very good English. The breakfast was also very good and the hostel was cleaned daily. All the staff made you feel welcome. 😄

Carnaval time

I stayed here during Carnival and found the staff so helpful with everything. Often taking the guests for parties and just making sure they feel at home. 

I was struggling to plan a route through South America based on limited time and one of the staff (Zema) helped me plan the most amazing route in a lot of details.

The hostel had all the facilities needed for a backpacker and was close to the metro (5 minutes) and the beach (15 minutes).

Amazing start to South America

This is a nice place to stay, the owner and staff are really friendly and it is very well located. The breakfast was excellent and the terrace was a nice space to chill out and meet other guests. Unfortunately the TV downstairs was always on making it hard to really socialise as everybody seemed to be always watching it. The bathrooms could definitely use a revamp though, and the four bed dorm was very small and cramped. 

Nice hostel but in need of an update

The staff was very friendly my entire stay.  The hostel is in a convenient location.  Something like 6 or 7 blocks from Copacabana and 2 blocks from the subway. Wifi was good, breakfast was descent and it seemed like the cleaning guy was literally cleaning nonstop all day keeping the place pristine.  My only negative would be the bathroom/shower which was a bit tight and uncomfortable to use, but I'm tall so this might not be a problem for shorter ppl.  Overall I enjoyed my stay at copa fun hostel.

Good Hostel

The staff was always super friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the roof terrace was also good with baguette, cheese, sausage, jam, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. My impression was that it was more of a quiet place rather than a party hostel (of course it always depends on the other guests). Unfortunately, in my 6-bed room there were only three sockets and no reading lamps. Valuable items should be locked in a lockbox, as the room doors are not locked. Lock must be brought with. However, the hostel is safe. You must always ring the shower door and wait until the staff opens a little. The shower is designed to hang around 10 minutes from the Copaca, and 3 minutes from the hostel. Everything you want to do in a small bathroom can still be arranged with a little space for you to hang around the shower.

Super helpful staff, but equipment could be better.

I recommend it.It is very well located; close to transportation (collectivos, metro) and the beach.The hostel atmosphere is recommended for a quiet stay.The cleanliness is incredible.The bathrooms are somewhat small, it is the only problem.

Excellent attention and attention.

Excellent staff, very friendly and willing to help. The super nice and clean place. Very rich breakfast. The only thing I can say as a negative is that there are no lockers in the room.

We slept in one of the eight-bed rooms. The room was far too small for so many people and the window was broken and only temporarily kept together. The bathrooms were too small for the booked hostel. The women had at least two sinks, the men only one. The toilet booths were uncomfortable. A clear plus is the great staff who answered questions with a lot of patience and interest and therefore felt well taken care of. Even when we called the taxi, a friendly employee came down the street to tell the taxi driver our destination. The atmosphere was okay even if you came into contact with other travelers. Plus, the outdoor terrace/dressing room had no room to invite.
