Really enjoyed the island and the hotel. Makara runs a good service with everytjing looking great. 
It was a bit of a faff to get the boat over but also part of the experience, make sure the hotel arranges a tuktuk to pick you up from the ferry. 
The rooms were fine but without AC could be hot under the mosquito net- we also got bitten quite a bit. 
Food was fine with western and khmer options. 
Loved the island, so peaceful, rural and chilled. 
Makara arranged a trip to dolphins which was seamless, and fairly priced..

Lovely island, relaxed hotel

This resort is now called Syabori Villas. We arrived with a good sense of humor after reading some negative reviews and we were very pleasantly surprised. It is as clean as possible given the structure (old villas). It is very beautiful, the pool is huge and quite swimming. The staff cleans it regularly. It is in a green environment so there may be a leaf or two but really nothing dramatic. The rooms are beautiful, the hard beds like everywhere in Cambodia! We have good bathrooms, warm to worry about.

It was a great stay.

We had already visited Krate 10 years earlier, the island tempted us and the establishment was attractive despite the distance from the city center. In fact you cross relatively easily to reach the island and vice versa, a motorbike takes you to the hotel, or Tuk Tuk. The establishment is great, the large and comfortable rooms, clean and furnished in the old fashioned way, idem for the SdB, a certain luxury comes out of it, everything is quiet, PdJ and dinner very correct, we were able to enjoy the island which has to be done and the city of Krate and its surroundings. You can dine outside the hotel.

Calm, Quiet and isolated with lots of charm

Sports arrival with the suitcase and the passenger on a motorcycle...well on the spring has suffered from the covid, but the rooms and garden are very beausx. rooms like Banlung, even owner, are furnished with km antiques. the pool is very beautiful, but also the cushions of the long chairs deserve refurbishment...medium meal, but breakfast made everything right. Good cafe, without the coffee machine of Ban Lung... unfortunately, we would have to stay one more day.

Original and Quiet

The setting, the Khmer decoration, the place, the very kind and very dedicated staff, the best breakfast bop, very good Khmer meals for $5 to $8 a plate. for info: Ferry crossing from 7:00 to 6:00 pm: 1000 riels/pers, then motor taxi from the ferry to the island road and tuk tuk to the hotel beautiful small rural island: Cambodia authentic bike available for $2 a half day Just the dark room and the whole resort that deserves a little refreshment but it's so beautiful

Authentic Cambodia

The hotel's location is just gorgeous, the reception is very friendly, the lodges are spacious. We rented bicycles to go around the island, I strongly recommend it. The downsides are: the rooms are not very clean, there is a lack of mosquito nets on several windows (leting lizards, crabs, mosquitoes in...).

Moment suspended away from the big cities

Great place!! We loved it!! The family home was perfect for us 5, superb old decor, excellent restaurant, superb swimming pool, lovely staff! Bravo for the care given to every detail! Our best place in Cambodia! Bravo!! We only dream of going back there!!

It's a little gem!

This place is beautiful, the spacious and comfortable rooms, the breakfast area by the swimming pool very well arranged and decorated. With a beautiful garden in prime! It is certainly a place where we would like to stay... yet another great choice from our guide Vibol Po!

It's great, it's chic.

This place is a wonderful place, a beautiful complex and besides, on an island in the middle of the Mekong. This place is owned by a Frenchman that you will surely not see because he has a chain of hotels. The restaurant is very good and the tourist prices are correct. Too bad for the very good wine that is kept in the fridge....it's a waste! The lodges might have a little refreshment, it wouldn't be luxury! Very good time spend in this establishment!

It was a good experience

The Rajabori Villas are certainly the best choice for European travellers on the island and in the area of Kratie. The rooms are equipped with their own bathroom and a small terrace, clean and well maintained. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. The food is prepared freshly (a little waiting time should therefore be planned, especially at breakfast if you plan a tour afterwards) and is delicious. However, you should consider that you are in a less touristic area and therefore everything is a little easier (card payment does not always work).
