I reserved a room through booking.com with a prepaid Mc. The front desk charged the Mc through booking.com, he said it didn't have a chip or tap. He then asked for my bank card. I later checked the Mc site and he Infact charged me, as well as my bank card. I showed him the proof and denied it. Trying to find motel owners names so I can sue in small claims

Double charge sunset Motel

The manager, Sukh is very friendly,extremely knowledgeable I feel very humbled to have met him, he is very respectful. The room is well kept, fresh sheets and towels, stocked with all supplies. The view at the motel is stunning no matter what time of the day.

Fantastic Stay in Cache creek

Room was freezing on check in at 13C.  One electric baseboard heater at front door under thermostat and after 8 hours only got up to 18C.  Bathroom was freezing, like using an outhouse and so small you had to watch you didn't hit your face on the sink when doing your paperwork when done your "business".  Thank goodness for extra quilt but I slept in my clothes and still froze.  I live in Northern BC so not a wimp and used to the cold.  The facecloth had a brown stain on it, yuck.  Didn't notice until after use and no other one available.  There was only a bed and a rickety chair that legs wobbled so not any choice to sit anywhere but bed.  We checked in at 730PM and left at 5AM...frozen, sleep deprived and miserable so did not complain at office since it was closed. Bed was comfortable and sheets smelled clean and staff was polite on check in.  Reviews were good so very disappointed and room was $99 so not that cheap.  Will NEVER stay here again and friends have said the same so not sure how they got good reviews.

We were lucky enough to have one of the largest rooms in the motel, the most expensive too, well equipped, two large double beds, kitchen and dining table, otherwise it's a motel, not worth spending hours on, a step on the road. There's absolutely nothing in the city.

Just to sleep and then forget

Good value for CDN$109.  Just off TCH#1 but highway traffic was light that  night.  Older facility but all fixtures in good condition.  Free parking and WiFi,  Spacious bedroom with comfortable bed.  Tiny bathroom with a nice shower.

Last chance before heading east from Cache Creek

We stopped for one night on our way through Cache Creek going to Whistler. The rooms had clearly been updated fairly recently. They were comfortable, clean & quiet. What more could you want. I would certainly recommend here.

Decent motel

Our stop here met our expectations.  The room was quaint.  Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and accommodating.  Property was in good condition and the room was clean even after the recent flooding in the area.  Good job.

Clean even in the midst of regional floods.

Stopped for a one nighter.  Stayed in the Std Queen room for $89.  The outer room where the bed/TV is was nicely renovated.  Bed was comfy.  The bathroom was not re-done, but tidied up.  Down sides were the bathroom was tiny, tiny.   I could barely get in and out of the shower.  The towels and sheets were over-scented with laundry product and I smelled like a girlie after.  And the coffee maker was not clean inside, so I did not use.  Would I stay again?  Yes,...for $89, yes, I think would.

Pretty Darn Good

The Sunset Motel in Cache Creek gets a 5-star review from me, and yes I would recommend this little, clean, well-run family-style motel to all my fellow travellers!
Remember, this isn't 5-star Hilton or Four Seasons, but a comfortable place to stay while in the desert of northern BC. Each room has what you need and more. Cheers, Paul

Clean Room and a BIG HEART!

Stayed 1 night, was a great room.  Clean, quiet, nicely done, service was excellent and location is perfect.  Would absolutely stay again.   The rooms have been renovated and are tastefully done.  For a small motel, they are better than the majority of motels.
