This hotel and theyr owners are horrible. There's an ominous feeling as you approach this halfway house claiming to be a motel. This is only confirmed with the used furniture that they call furnishings. The rooms look like a jail cell. You will definitely run into drug dealers, pimps and prostitutes, some of which will be minors. There are also honest labour class working men that would be far more comfortable a block away, at the same price I'm sûre. The owners Rise and Henry play Let's Make a Deal and if you agree to cancel your online reservation, they'll knock a few bucks off the rate. This way they don't have to pay the website or app the commission due. Rose wanted to keep 30.00 from a 100.00 security deposit for bronzer on a pillowcase but when I told her I would express this behaviour in an online review, she said she was keeping the full 100.00 and booking com didn't help considering they wanted a review and I noticed she had cancelled that 2 day reservation though my banking information shows I stayed there.

Horror in Gatineau with Horrific Owners Rose and Henry

If I'm going to be a casino player and I'm looking for places to sleep and near the casino go strong if you have a good price but if you stay more than a day the household leaves to be desired because hair in the bathtub and after returning from the aviation museum me and my girlfriend we had to wipe ourselves with the same wet towels from the shower in the evening from before we didn't have time to dry not very pleasant!!!!! one before going to the casino in the evening

Very large and clean room quiet side parking let's sleep well good mattresses near a lot of service near the casino negative side wake up indicates not the time and not enough towel for four people thank you

Clean and cheap

To forget if you want to sleep well Préposé: no French but still nice when he tells you NO FUME Room: funny smell, not too soundproof and the windows do not open Point positive: very good restaurant around

Don't wait.

The reception was indifferent. The customer seemed to disturb the receptionist. The reception room was frosty. The parking lot was located at the back of the motel. The access to the rooms on the second floor from the parking lot was dirty and bad-smelling. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. However, there was no room sensation. There was very little electricity supply in the occupied room. The WI-FI system was efficient during my stay. The quality/price ratio is correct for Gatineau. There are several restaurants nearby.

The reception is indifferent, the motel is well located, the entrance hall smells bad.

Checked in really late in the evening with a friend. The man at the from desk had no smile and was pretty stern. Asked how many and said two. He asked a few times and was insulted when he said "you people always bring in more people." Racist? I don't know. So went to our room and I used the toilet right away. I noticed that there was a cigarette butt in the ashtray. I figured the cleaning lady just forgot to empty it. No big deal. Then I noticed the trash wasn't emptied either. I didn't mind, we were just staying for the night anyway. We got ready for bed, pulled the bed covers and it was obvious the sheets weren't changed. The sheets were wrinkly and found a couple strands of hair. I called front desk and asked if we could change rooms. He said he would come inspect the room. So he came and said we couldn't because we already messed up the bed. Yes. I am serious.

Racist or just really poor customer service?

We don't have to rely on the old facade, the rooms are very large and the comfortable beds private parking free the student at the reception has very well informed us (restaurant, store..) next to the hotel there is a delicious and very democratic Asian restaurant

Very well located, and quiet

A small provincial hotel in the middle of the city boulevard, this establishment surprises with the quality of the beds and bathrooms. The Wi-Fi is rather low but the reception is largely compensated, however you have to bring your good mood because the places are a bit dismal. A quiet good night in a quiet neighborhood at night. Good Restaurants nearby a quality ratio price interesting.

A story from one night

Couple at the desk were very nice and friendly, helped with directions for restaurants etc..Room/bathroom was large and clean, hard mattress, good for our back,very quiet area which I loved...Otherwise very basic, Stairs and entrance to reach our room was rather smelly with grubby carpets that smelled of old cigarettes.. However once we got into our room it was fine..

Canada Day weekend

May 13th, 2015.  We arrived late, checked in was smooth. The young man at the counter was friendly and was kind enough to make us coffee. Our room was on the second floor, so we had to take few flight of stairs to get there. To our surprised the room was large, bright, and warm. The washroom was clean and tidy. The bathtub was nice and deep enough for a soak and also to get in and out with no difficulty, it has bars to hold on to. We were fortunate to have both microwave and fridge.  Indeed the motel look bit crappy outside but once you step in it was clean and quiet. The interior wall was interesting while going up the main entrance, on the platform of the second floor, they are a set of sofa to relax.  The staff took the time to point where to go for tulips festivals etc. All our minor requests were fulfil with a smile, I have no complaints or faults about the property and services, the staff asked my opinion about the services. They said they are working to improve the outside of the hotel. The price is reasonable compare in Ottawa.  Lot of parking, there is an auto garage adjoint to the property. The guys were nice to give us air.  I notice a Walmart, Maxi supermarket, we had breakfast at Cora, there is McDonald. Most people speak English, even at the gas station I was treated with a friendly smile and service. Gatineau is about 10mins drive from the capital. I notice a public bus passing in front the hotel. I recommended you visit Jacques Cartier Park, and you can walk along Alexandra Bridge.  There is 2hr free parking in the park along the bicycle path.  They are tulips field also there.
