I can not stress enough what a wonderful experience it was to stay in this stately old Victorian mansion. You are politely reminded to remove your shoes, before going up stairs, but this helps keep the place spotless. Now remember this is a Bed & Breakfast and the mademoiselle of the house is a fantastic cook so you are in for a real treat when breakfast arrives. My wife and I were the first down in the morning, when she opened the dinning room. Our fellow visitors this day were outstanding and the morning conversions were stimulating. If we're ever in this area again, we'll make sure we spend another night at this magnificent location.

The place is very nice and it has an excellent restaurant within walking distance, however, the price is too high for a place, it is very noisy at night.

Correct without further ado

The Chapleau house is beautiful! Very nice house with a successful decoration. especially in the rooms with more than comfortable beds: we slept very well there. Little attention in the living room on the ground floor (which is common to everyone): some chocolates and a liquor in free service. Very good and satisfying breakfast with home products, and the top: a good mix between sugar and salt. If you have the opportunity, go see the sunset in Kamouraska which is only a few kilometers away (the bed is reputed to be the most in Quebec...)

Very nice house with successful decoration

We stayed one night in this quaint old Quebec house because our regular B&B in the town of Kamouraska was full. We were not disappointed. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, with very comfortable beds, and linens smelling of lavender.  When we returned after dinner, we found a plate of fresh strawberries by the bedside. Two bathrooms are shared between the 4 rooms, which does make things a bit tricky in the morning if all the rooms are in use, which they were. Also, being on a main road, there was some early morning truck traffic. Breakfast was a major event. We were anxious to be on our way but breakfast was not a rushed affair! Our hostess prepared a sumptuous multi-coursed meal that was fantastic and meant we did not need lunch on the road. We wished there had been more time for us to linger on the lovely wrap around veranda, complete with hammock.

This place is very clean and quiet. The owner's welcome is very warm. Lunch is VERY delicious. The beds are super comfortable. The place is near Kamouraska. I love this place!

For business

Nice bed & breakfast in St Pascal, big room and good bed, very clean, no TV, no air conditioning in the rooms and there are two bathrooms with toilet to share, but no problem for us, there was always one free.

What a lovely home!

It was very difficult for us to bear the noise of the traffic all night long, especially in the summer, when there were no windows open. A charming house. A spacious room. A curiously authoritarian and unhearing hostess, on the one hand, who tried her best to please you according to her personal scheme of what your pleasure is, what she claimed literally: it is she who decides, it is my pleasure! A very solemn breakfast, with me, taking too much time, breaking the conviviality of the common table, cooked with care, very good except for the bread and croissants. Obligation to walk without getting up and running!

A mixed B&B, a night ruined by noise

We stopped here after rain made us pull off the highway, and it was a great night! The host Martine was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Rooms are very nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable. Wifi in the hotel let us check our mail and then we got a great sleep. The next morning the breakfast was the best I'd had in a while! Very great start to the next day's drive.

Comfortable stay, wonderful breakfast and lovely host!

Maybe it's only coincidence, but by far the best breakfasts in all the B&Bs we've stayed in are found in Quebec. This place definitely has a 5 star breakfast.
The house is an old 2 storey Quebec style home with a red tin roof and a wrap around porch. The interior still has it's original 100 year old woodwork. Our room had 2 dormers with flowerboxes at the bottom of the windows and was totally charming. The bed, linens & toiletries were all superb. When we returned after supper, our hostess left a bowl of fresh cherries in our room and sprayed the bedding with lavender.
There is a pub about half a block away where you can eat. Kamouraska, a lovely town on the St. Lawrence River is a 5 minute drive away.
French is spoken at the breakfast table as is to be expected in the heart of Quebec, but the other guests all took the time to speak to us in English.
The bathrooms are shared.
It's on a main street, so some truck traffic can be heard in the morning.
