Excellent location (Berri-UQAM, the nearest metro station, is the best served in the whole city), the house is cozy, the neighborhood is lively, Reginald is super nice and incredibly helpful, breakfast is good and changes every day, my room had its own shower, sink and toilet. And since this room was at the back of the house, it was super quiet.

That's great.

I loved this inn. Roget (sp?) the innkeeper is incredibly accommodating and provides a relaxing atmosphere to the hustle and bustle outside the doors. He provides a light and tasty hot breakfast with lots of fruit. Bed was comfortable and the linens were top notch. There is a great terrace to unwind on and a pagoda in the yard for your more reflective moods (an homage to his time living in China). 

Location is great. Literally a half a block to the main subway station Berri-Uqam. Close to the Village, Latin Qtr and Rue St Catherine. 

Can’t recommend this place enough. 

Would stay again!

I spent two nights here when in Montreal for a conference and had a great experience. The owner Regie makes you feel right at home and the fun decor of the rooms and common spaces makes you feel like you've stepped off of the busy street and into a well-appointed private home. The location is great, with great access to the trendiest neighborhoods as well as the more touristy Old Town and waterfront area. While there is street parking, I had to move my car for an hour one day for the street cleaner. Despite this, the hotel owner told me about this and even held a spot for me and made sure it was as painless as possible for me. He's a great host and served a very nice breakfast every morning. I'd highly recommend this spot for couples, business travelers, and solo travelers looking for a fun and comfortable experience.

Comfortable and quiet, yet in the middle of all the action

I had the basement room, I had to climb two floors to go to the bathroom to take a shower, which wasn't very convenient. Otherwise the room was big, clean, but basement. Lunch very well. Friendly hotel. I was still surprised that this hostel was rated four stars, a three-star rating I think is better suited. I moved in July 2017.

It's a very good place.

Very bad surprise for us on the morning of our departure, in the taxi to the airport, a message from Booking.com telling us that the Gîte St Christophe had cancelled our booking at night because of overbooking. In the middle of the high season, when we had booked a month in advance and the day before we told them our arrival time and they confirmed that they were waiting for us! The alternative offered by Booking: a hotel at the airport or contacting them. Fortunately, Géraldine de Booking was great. We spent 4 hours finding and booking another hotel in a small Montreal hotel, with a different internet connection while bouncing over, checking and arriving again, the booking was not refunded, but we did not receive any information from the booking service, which we could not charge.

Beware - Avoid overbooking

We changed our holiday plans and had to spend one night in Montréal before flying out early the next day. This BnB popped up on TripAdvisor and we enjoyed our quick stay. The unique decor is fun and welcoming. There’s a great private patio on the second floor for a late evening drink. Our room was very clean and quiet. We did have to share a bathroom, but that was very easy (we’re not used to sharing!). The bed was very comfortable. Since we left quite early, Regie gave us a delicious fruit breakfast to take with us (I’m also allergic to gluten/eggs so regular breakfast is out). There is some construction across the street right now that started at 7am, but I’m sure that’ll be done soon. The neighborhood was close to restaurants and an easy walk to the old town. Very nice, albeit quick, stay!

Quiet and comfortable stay

We had a wonderful stay and felt very welcomed. The interior was charming and relaxing with a lot of colors, statues and plants, cute and calm garden. The breakfast was tasty and various  ( new things every day) We got all the help needed the hosts servicemind and how he cared about as tourists was extraordinary and one of a kind. we will recommend this hotel. <3

Very pleasant stay

Regie is a wonderful, helpful host and served wonderful breakfasts. We encountered a pleasant variety of other guests. The B&B is very close to the Metro making it easy to explore Montreal, as well as UQAM, the St. Denis restaurant area and "the Village". Rooms are not large. We did have a refrigerator, a sink and chocolates. Some of the upstairs shares a wc and also a shower. There are pleasant patios for quiet sitting. Finding nearby parking can be a problem at times and the signs regulating who can park where and when can be confusing, but the staff was helpful about this and other things..

Superb host and food!

Very warm welcome, very willing to help us. Very well located 2 minutes from the metro and less than 10 minutes from the bus station with direct access to the airport. Very clean. Good and cozy lunch. Only when you have the basement room with 2 floors upstairs is the bathroom and sdb, but there are also rooms upstairs.

Very nice and well located B&B

A warm home, a nice room with an original décor, a very decent breakfast, an affordable price (for this central district), a very good location in Montreal. Close to the Berry metro but in fact we have used it very little so many important places in the city can be reached on foot in 30 minutes.
