I stayed 3 nights in a superior room with 2 friends. There is just a queen bed and a sofa bed and not much room to move when the sofa bed is out. My friends said the queen bed was comfortable but I slept on the sofa bed and it was horrible, like an old style sofa bed with springs sticking into every part of my body. We had a portable air conditioner in the room but didn’t use it the first night as it was so noisy. We had to turn it on the last two nights as there was a heat wave and there is no air conditioning throughout the residence. The room itself was ok and clean enough but the bathroom could use an upgrade and a new shower curtain. Lots of toilet paper, kleenex, toiletries and towels were provided. We had a desk, chair, ironing board and iron, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and coffee pods. We chose this University for the free parking and the fact that we could take the bus into Old Quebec City and beyond. Unfortunately, there was a bus strike during our stay and we had to Uber. (Reasonable price for an Uber to just outside the walls of Old Quebec City).

There is a large kitchen in the basement in which to cook but you have to bring your own pots, pans and any cooking utensils you might need.

Front desk staff are very friendly and available 24/7.

The residence is within a few minutes walk to a big mall and is surrounded by greenery and foot paths. 

I feel this residence would be a better choice for a couple and when it is a bit cooler  so that one doesn’t have to turn on the noisy and bulky A/C unit. The sofa is ok to sit on but definitely not fit for sleeping.

More suitable for a couple

Don't stay here in summer! No air conditioning, no fan, no cross breeze. People yelling and making all kinds of loud noises in and outside of building well after midnight. Rooms oppressively hot and humid. Checking in took forever. Not worth the money you save.

Kids yelling out side after midnight and a loud bus passes by every 10 minutes 24hours a day.
Website said breakfast was included but it is not.

Hot and Noisey

Exactly what you expect. Easy to check in. Can be challenging if you don’t speak French but staff do try. Ask for renovated room as these are comfortable. 
Beware All Quebec City changes random extra taxes which they don’t negotiate which isn’t fair.

My room was flooded the first day. The toilet doesn't work. The sofa bed is terrible. These things are unacceptable. But the facilities are very beautiful, the ping pong table and the pool table are very fun. The keeper is very beautiful. The only thing I don't like is my room. Three stars.

The Residences Université Laval it's okay if you go for studying, the behaviour toward tourists is good, because they have like lots of attentions like giving food and the beds are good. The cleanging is excellent, since I have arrived I haven't seen any insect or animal, etc.

I am a tourist

I came to the residence of Laval University for a two-week exchange program. I stayed in a room with eight other girls. There were two TVs, four bedrooms with two beds, a small kitchen and two bathrooms with shower each. The quality of the room is very good but the walls are very fine and you can hear everything outside. Near the residences there are many shopping malls and other things you can do with your friends.

Space is good because there are a lot of things to do (like a game room with ping pong and billiards) and laundry, but some things are missing, for example, in the information it says there are two beds per room, but it's not true, there are rooms with one bed.

There are some things missing in the room.

Small room. Clean towels. Very hot inside, even with the windows open. Glad to discover a store close by to buy a coffee . Metro supermarket at 10 minutes. The 800 bus stops exactly  in front of the campus. 

Hot inside the room, but I liked the place

As good as an appartment, the room is large, modern, comfortable in a quiet sector on the University Campus. There is a fully equiped open kitchen. However the ventilation a bit too noisy. Easy access by bus or bike to the city center.
