I have stayed at the hotel for two nights. From a financial point of view it’s not really cheap compared to other offers in China. For example the same hotel would be the half price in Guangzhou. But that is probably because it’s in Beijing. 

As also reported through other visitors, the hotel rooms are rather shabby and not that clean. In my room the bead sheets were probably clean but had a light yellow color. Not really inviting...

Breakfast is standard for China. Not fancy but doable. There are many small restaurants around the hotel. So eating is not an issue... Also there a some small supermarkets around. However, there is no fridge in the room.

The internet is included in the price. However, the connection is rather week. Skype works best in the late evening hours when there are not many users on the net. Nevertheless the connection is good enough to download emails etc..

As with most Chinese hotels the personnel only speaks Chinese...



Not so good

This hotel is large and noisy.  And our bathroom had a very bad odour as did the rest of the hotel. The dining room floor was very dirty, so much so that I didn't eat breakfast there on the final two mornings of our four night stay as I wondered how clean the kitchen would be. There was little evidence of  any english signage in the dining room and apart from the freshly cooked omelettes and the boiled eggs, the food was cold.  No juice and no tea or coffee replenishment.  The toaster didn't work either.

It would have been nice to have had at least one English speaking TV channel but that wasn't to be.  Wifi only in a very noisy foyer.

The beds were clean and comfortable.

Not a good experience

We stayed at this hotel in November because we didn't get a room because of the Communist convention there, in the hotel where we were supposed to stay. We had also booked the Nexus tour. The hotel had no atmosphere and it was dark because half of the lights didn't seem to be on. I think they saved energy. The rooms were like a sauna at night, the air conditioning was set to 25 degrees, there was no air in the room at all and that was really uncomfortable. It's true what Y says, the service leaves much to be desired. We ate at the restaurant and ordered a bottle of white wine, what they served us, was a bottle of something that didn't look like white wine or tasted, in which we couldn't drink it.

We stayed at this hotel in November, because the hotel where we booked rooms was a Communist convention at the time. We were transferred here. Our seats were also booked for a group tour. There was no atmosphere at the hotel, it was dark and half lights, it seemed not on at all. I think they saved electricity. The rooms were like a sauna at night, the air conditioners were set at 25 degrees, the room was completely airless, and it was really uncomfortable. It's true, Nicole Y says that service leaves the best. We ate at their restaurant and ordered a bottle of white wine. The contents of the bottle were so tasty, they could not be taken for a week, it was impossible to say how much time they had to spend at the bakery. But I really had to say how much time they had to spend at the bakery.

The rooms were like a sauna at night aircon was on 25c at night and there was no air in the room at all and was really uncomfortable.  It's true what Nicole Y says that the service has a lot to be desired.  We ate in their restaurant and ordered a bottle of white wine what they servied us was a bottle of something that neither looked or tasted like wine infaact it was undrinkable.   Breakfast was ordinary they were cooking one lot of fried egg at a time which is really time consuming.  The toast took a week to toast any bread but in all because we had good company we had a good time.  No thanks to the hotel staff I must say.

C Kong very ordinary

It's a terrible hotel! The rooms look decent only in the pictures, the furniture and plumbing are actually dead! Room cleaning is only about filling the beds, the vacuum cleaner they never seem to have heard of! The staff doesn't speak English at all. No food at all! Free breakfast is very scarce. In the evening they wanted to have dinner after the price of the ticket.

Eat it

There was no pen in one of my rooms, only a hole in the door. The chair was like a survivor of the war. And the most unpleasant thing was that there was hot water in the faucet, but the cold water didn't seem to reach the last floor. I'm generally inclined to believe that it's a problem with the hotel's ice cream rooms. But if you're five stars, it shouldn't be.

I bought an offer to stay in this hotel. I thought it was cheap, so I didn't expect much. But to my surprise, for the price I paid, the interior of the room was excellent. There is a shower and bathroom. It's also clean. The hotel even has a swimming pool, sauna, table tennis and a beauty salon. I recommend this place.

It's cheap, but it's great.

Bought a deal to stay at this hotel. It was considered cheap. Wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise, the interior of the room was superb for the price I paid. Bathroom consists of showers and bath tub. It's clean as well. It even has swimming pool, sauna, ping pong table, and spa. I recommend this place

Cheap but Great Interior

I have never written a review of a hotel before, and have yet (until now) experienced such bad customer service that I have been inclined to. 

This hotel was part of the Nexus tour of Beijing for 7 days. As a side note, half of the tour got to stay at another hotel... I am envious. 

My biggest issue is: If you market your hotel as being a 5-star luxury hotel, it better at least SEEM like a 5-star luxury hotel. 

My biggest specific issues:

    Cold or not hot enough food during the morning breakfast
    Dirty towels being reused each day (they don't change towels if they're left on the floor of the bathroom - which I thought was a convention - instead they're changed if they're left on the desk. However, a few days I noticed the towels were hung up wet...)
    Only 2 sets of toiletries and towels each day (there being 3 of us), despite asking front desk about this repeatedly
    Crooked or moldy bathroom fixtures
    Wobbly bathroom floor tiles
    Dirty utensils during the morning breakfast

The one pro was that the beds were very soft and sheets were warm and very fluffy. However, as the third person, I got to sleep on a roll-out bed that was incredibly hard and had a thin mattress. 

Yes, the location of the hotel is good. It is conveniently near the attractions of Beijing. However, with the terrible traffic in the city, being close does not mean you'll get there quickly. 

I just wish that the people at the front desk at least tried to speak English. Unless you spoke in Mandarin, they pretty much ignored you. Their lack of attention, and lack of trying... just made this one of the worst hotel experiences of my life.
