Hongqiao airport is divided into two terminals: T1 handles international flights (indcluding Hong Kong) and T2 is for everything within mainland China. This hotel is located at T2, the larger terminal. It can be found on the Departure level and is an easy two-minute walk from the Check-In counters. It is noticeable for its elegant lobby and nice rooms, although they are not the largest. Transportation access is obviously very good and the hotel does provide in-house parking. Front desk staff does speak english.

Good hotel directly next to Terminal 2

This is an airport 'transit' hotel designed to serve guests staying over between flights.  It's a good version of that, not a hotel than anyone would choose for a longer stay, but very convenient to the airport or, as in my case, the adjacent high speed rail station.  

Nothing really remarkable.  Check-in was slow, even by China standards.  At one point 4 people were staring at the computer screen and ultimately they decided they had only rooms with two beds - who cares I needed only one after my 14 hour flight to get here!

Other than this, the room was, yes a bit small.  But very tidy and with everything I need.

Breakfast was a bit limited for westerners, but I found enough to get me through the day.  Check OUT was very efficient and I was on my way in minutes.

Would absolutely stay again.

Nicer than I expected

The Green line metro, one of the main lines, runs under Honqiao Airport.  The airport has many restaurants and shops like a mall and a Starbucks right outside the lobby entrance which is open 24/7.  The hotel itself is very nice, very clean and uncrowded.  The staff was very attentive and no problems with communication.  I had a drive pick me up and the staff did more than they needed to, to ensure that that my pickup would be easy and with no waiting or effort on my part.  Shanghai itself had a serious smog problem while I was there, so this location was perfect as we had the hotel, mall, and metro access without having to go outside.

Excellent hotel at Honqiao Airport for Westener

We arrived at the hotel late at night after a tiring flight from Beijing and taxi ride from Pudong airport to this transport hub of airport/train station. The lobby was lovely and our check in was swift and we were quickly in our room which was quite nice for an airport hotel. My only comment is they have a smoking area just outside the lifts on each floor so the smell of smoke in the corridors is awful but in the room was fine. We had dinner in the restaurant in the morning before setting off and even though is was busy it was well set out and the choice was vast and good quality. The main attraction of the hotel is that the airport terminal and train station are just a short walk from the lobby and even though we had quite a bit of luggage it wasnt difficult. All in all a good stay.

Brief stay.

The hotel is very visible from the road (it is located at Terminal 2 of Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai) and is easily accessible because its entrance is located directly on the main sidewalk where you are accompanied by taxis. We only stayed here one night but we did not appreciate its elegance and modern style anyway. Our room was quiet and spacious and the beautiful window present in the bathroom gave the possibility of having the in view tub. The bathroom was clean and in addition to the tub had a shower cabin. Thanks to the pedestrian area in front of the hotel entrance we were able to easily reach the railway station to take the high-speed direct train to Beijing. It is a convenient solution for anyone or anyone arriving from Shanghai Hongqiao by train or plane.

Comfort and Beauty

I have used this hotel twice primarily for the location. It is very accessible from the airport terminal - although not that well signposted in the 2 terminals of the airport. The room size is adequate but the bed comfortable and quiet even though my room have looked right out onto the airport tarmac. Staff speak English  but, not surprisingly better than others. All were willing to help

Quiet hotel by Hongqiao Shanghai Airport

The only plus is the location, especially if you have an uncomfortable transfer at the train station or the Huntzio airport. Overall, it's quite noisy and crowded, although of course it's better than staying at the airport. We didn't have much luck with the sewer, rented two rooms and both had an unpleasant smell of sewage.

Only if there's nowhere to stop.

It's a beautiful hotel with excellent service. There are many different cuisines to choose from, all delicious. It's easy to get to Wai-Tan. It's a wonderful night view, but this hotel is a little more expensive than the others.

It's a good hotel, but it's expensive.

It's a nice place to stay, well served, great food, everything delicious, and you can easily get to Wai Tan, beautiful views at night, but a little more expensive than other hotels.
