It's a very clean room and the guide to the place, Pedro, is also very good. Totally recommended. It's far from the turtle core but worth it because San Francisco (which is where it is) is much nicer.

Very good experience.

The place is nice, nice on the edge of the lagoon. Very landscaped and authentic frame. Our room was simple, comfortable and we were lucky enough to have the Clim. Unfortunately there is no dinner at the hotel. The owner is not very pleasant. It is located on San Francisco Island where there is nothing but 2 sodas (food) unlike the tortuguero island which is lively. The price is very excessive compared to the quality. The positive point is the incredible canoeing out with Owen, the guide to the national park.

A little disappointed by the reviews. Comfort is brief, the tiny rooms are very hot and the fan makes the sound of an airplane engine. Those who leave at dawn wake up the other rooms. We are on an island and for dinner, we have to take a boat and in the evening, from 8pm onwards, the taxi boat is needed. The shuttle boat is in front of the ferry, but not the one that brings us from the mainland and the car park...The owner was not very warm when she learned that we had already taken a guide to visit Tortuguero. In addition to the timetables of the guides she offered us, we did not really have a nice view of the island, and there is a nice view of the water on this small pond.

Summary Comfort

I would like to put some but, but there is none.Thank you to Ana Rita for the treatment and for taking care of us from the moment we arrived until we left.It was the closest thing to feeling at home after doing so many miles and not looking like anything to my country and this was a Chinitas and Ana Rita (&cía) Always clean rooms, with good ventilation and rich food!I would repeat over and over again!

The best place to stay is in Tortuguero (San Francisco).

Located in a small town very close to  the beach and tortuguerro . Very hospitable couple . Nice accommodations . Good food . Right on the river. Cute dogs too!  Lots of nature to see just walking around

Cozy and close to tortuguerro

We loved the place, the owners who behaved like their lifelong friends, helping us in everything. Pedro el guía is a wonder, we enjoyed doing the excursions with him immensely.

Spectacular 

Very quiet and idyllic. We totally enjoyed it. We were very happy to be further away from the turmoil of Tortuguero. So whoever is quieter would recommend very much. The Sendero Cerro Tortuguero National Park can be reached in 15 minutes on foot. Tortuguero itself can be reached by water taxi, this is the only disadvantage. So the tours you plan either book with pickup or note that you still have to pay the water taxi, about 5000 colones per round trip or return.

Top - Quietly located

Knowing first of all that you're not in Tortuguero, but San Francisco (and that to get to Tortuguero you have to take a boat), the location is ideal for getting away from the tourist and disconnecting.We were treated well from the moment we arrived, with welcome details. The possibility of booking tours at the accommodation itself with their guiding contacts, coming from their own dock. The room is quite simple, fairly, we can't even get the hot water to work by following the owner's instructions. They offer dinner although we seemed a little low quality for the price (a lot better).

Good attention from the owner.

The staff is lovely and facilitates any activity you want to do.The location in front of the canal is magnificent and the garden, relaxing.As improvements, if you want to eat/cenarnhay you need to notify in advance even if you have a restaurant available.We did not notify and had to go to another place that they themselves recommended.The room is correct although it can be improved with a little maintenance.

Good location

The hotel is located in San Francisco, about 15 minutes from Turtle by boat.The hosts are very friendly and you can count on them for whatever you need.Our guide Pedro, a marvel.The hotel is simple but cozy and the meals are very rich.
