Very unfriendly service! The boss is hot and really extremely unfriendly. From the very beginning to very patchy, unprofessional handling. It's best to make a wide bow in the place!

It's expensive and unfriendly.

In the local market there is only cash payment. The price of the crown in the local market is about 20% worse when you pay in euros. This is not understandable, because everyone likes to give enough tip money. So the trick with the exchange rate is not appropriate. Positive is to mention the friendly staff!

When we first entered it, the first impression was positive, very cozy, like coming to my grandmother, smells of fried cabbage cakes) met with an aperitif, and when we got up to the room, everything was positive, it was gone.

I wouldn't come back.

I have to say that I was concerned about this pension given the few (but bad) reviews it has. However, our experience here in a long March weekend was just amazing. We came for my wife's birthday and I have to say that we will never forget how great the whole time was.
That was mainly because of the great staff. It is a family business and indeed the whole family is toiling on the property. They were extremely nice, obliging, doing everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Coffees ready any time in the morning (in the room or in the restaurant). They have arranged for us a trip to a wellness hotel in one of the days, got us discounted parking tickets and didn't know what to do to make a table available for us anytime we got back here for dinner. (See my separate review for their restaurant).
Whatever problems we had in the room (bulbs needing replacement, etc.): were all solved and apologies received.
Indeed, as other reviewers said, the pension is located very close to a bar where they throw noisy parties. But Kristinka's people can't do much about it... It was very close to us, but as we kept the window closed (it was also a very wintry night), we could rest very well.
The location is great, in the old town, very close to one of the parking lots where the car can be dropped.
We had a good time: when we left, the whole staff lined up and greeted us. We will definitely return. For easygoing people who like a great welcome and warm people, this is the place.

Amazing experience: totally!

There was a good breakfast because there was no one else in the hotel except us, but only coffee was hot... the bathroom with the toilet is personal, but it's across the hall from the room, the door doesn't close, the toilet isn't attached. Room settings aren't the first thing fresh. The price/quality ratio doesn't go into any gate. Wi-fi worked for an hour, then at 8 p.m. all the staff went to bed and went to bed with wi-fi.

That's very attractive.

A huge advantage is the location of the guest house. All the attractions are within easy reach. From the windows of the room you can see a picturesque view of the castle and the river. There is no TV, but it is not needed. We don't watch it at home. We stayed in a 2 bedroom room. It is quite spacious, warm. Comfortable beds. Clean. Happy host. Simple and tasty breakfast. We were in October, the restaurant in the hotel didn't work, but lunch and dinner is not a problem. There are many restaurants and bars nearby.

We did not stay at this pension however we had dinner there so this comment is only related to the restaurant. Service poor. We ordered cups of tea to have after the meal. This was clearly stated. The tea was brought to us before the meal by another older waiter and when we told him we had specified tea after dinner, the waiter threw the hot water from the cups directly behind our heads. It splattered the table immediately behind us. It was an act of anger and very unpleasant and potentially dangerous. Avoid this place.

Do not have Dinner at this Restaurant

We didn't stop at the hotel, so I won't tell you how he lives there. We went to the restaurant for lunch while we were on a tour. We really liked the open terrace. It was very picturesque. It was a quiet place. It overlooks the river and the islands. You can get to the island directly from the terrace by the bridge. The restaurant has a menu in Russian. The waitresses are free to communicate in Russian. The meat is fine. It's a nice dark beer.

I booked a room here thinking it was a 3 person room to be informed when we got here that it was not and she forced us to upgrade to an apartment that was more expensive.  The girl working here was extremely rude to us when we were checking in and then later on I asked her for a cork screw to open wine and she laughed in my face while joking with her friends that were there for some reason.  Never again.

Across from a very popular, VERY loud bar.  One night, they had live gypsy music.  It was excellent music but...
Had to close the windows to sleep but no fan to cool the room down.
The bathrooms are not attached to the rooms.  This was not at all clear in their website.  THERE WAS NO LOCK ON THE BATHROOM DOOR!!! When I asked for one, the owner told me that the bathroom was mine alone.  I explained that that didn't matter - I needed a key.  He then explained that because I was the only one in the whole wing, I could just lock the door to the wing.  Which worked out fine because nobody else was there.  I'm not sure how we would have resolved it if there had been anybody there.
The curtains in the bathroom window were about one foot too short.  So people across the courtyard could see in easily.  I hung a towel over the window.
All the light bulbs in the hall were burnt out.
Three of the four bulbs in the light fixture in the room were burnt out.
Only one of the nightstand lamps had a bulb (but it did work).
The fridge was so loud, I had to unplug it to sleep.
