Disappointed. I have stayed in this place multiple times, basically every time I've visited my family in Ostrava. It has an excellent location, walking distance to pretty much everywhere in Poruba and it always had an excellent service. Sadly, this place hasn't undergone any changes or improvements since it's foundation in 2015 and so it slowly becomes shabby old place more of a dormitory style and not worth the money. The staff in reception is still very kind and helpful, but the room had a broken chair I couldn't sit on, the drain in shower wouldn't work properly so at the end of the  shower I would stand in water up to my ankles, no magnifying mirror and terrible lack of light in the bathroom, the hair dryer is so week that hair which I usually have done in 3 mins took me nearly 15, broken vase on the table, dirty windows and I could go on. Breakfast used to be a breakfast bar now you only get what is on the menu, and the choice is quite poor. I ordered scrambled eggs and ham, first I've got an omelette with whole slices of ham mixed in, on the second attempt I've got watery scrambled eggs with chopped up ham mixed in.☹️ On Sunday the breakfast is served only till 9am, of which I wasn't informed, so I missed the breakfast completely. And the restaurant apparently, since the covid, doesn't open during the day at all.😖 So nowhere to eat untill cafes around open later on the day. To top it all up, during my last night of stay, several times during the night I got woken up by a couple next door, having quite a bit of fun, when I asked about it in the reception in the morning, maybe they could caution those guests regarding the noise level, the receptionist apologised and said that this was last minute one night stay, and there is not much she can do about it. So basically, this hotel turned from really good quality accommodation and good value for money to a overpriced hourly hotel with missarable kitchen. The one star is only for the location and for the service at the reception, I won't be staying again and I would cation everyone else against it.

Reasonable compromise between price and quality. Breakfast was OK but coffee could be better. The staff at reception and in the restaurant was helpful and friendly. No problems with parking outside hotel.

Reasonable price and quality

The standard rooms do not match the pictures on Booking! The standard room has no table to work on and only 2 simple single beds, for which a renovated bathroom with a large shower (top). The higher-class standard rooms are equipped with a table, for which also simple single beds with narrow, bad mattresses. Bathroom very old and with mold, shower without shower head brackets (never been there). Carpet very dirty. The comfort room I couldn't see, none available. An extremely disappointing hotel, the reviews don't match the standard rooms. Fast W-Lan!

Absolutely disappointed

The Sareza Hotel is located in a suburban area and is best described as a modern university dorm that calls itself a hotel (it even comes with Czech only channels for those of you who still watch TV).
Its dorm like design means you will hear what people say and whenever they move in rooms to your right, left above and below but if you got a good rate and just passing by for a night or two you wouldn't care much about that.
The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is the best part of the room.
Bed sheets, pillows and towels were clean and fresh but there was a thick layer of dust in all the places where dust is typically found in the room.
Service at reception is efficient and friendly.
The breakfast is served between 7 - 9 am and it is good for the price (especially the fresh salad and the eggs sunny side up). The coffee and tea served at breakfast are of course awful but that is expected in the Czech Republic.
The three apples on offer at the breakfast were all in advanced stages of rotting so I suppose they were only there for display purposes.
The latest check out time is at 10 am. This is a typically miserly check out time in a country that always finds lucrative ways to torture the millions of tourists that visit it every year (the most preferred methods of torture being smacking incredibly high commissions in currency exchange offices, charging 2 euros for 200 ml. water 'bottles' in strategically placed cafes etc.). The Czechs consider foreign tourists as a necessary evil they need to endure rather than an asset to be embraced which is why I was happy that a train station that connects to International destinations is only a few tram stops away from the hotel.

Modern, Suburban, Comfortable bed

There is a wall to the wall with the Ice Arena where the European Championship in Hip Hop was held! They were running for food to the restaurant: nothing, edible, affordable - a burger with a fried potato - 180 crowns. They were burning for carrying. The only thing - they don't speak Russian!

The restaurant is good!

Was visiting my boyfriend's family in the city and stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The service was average, not completely terrible but definitely not excellent. The rooms are pretty big and they were very clean. The front desk receptionist always greeted us when we walked in. It's a sufficient hotel to use if you are traveling for business for a few days or family matters but its not a luxurious hotel.

Average hotel

Indifferent check-in and frequently indifferent reception staff on duty. Awakened every morning at 06:00 hrs due to loud noise of sporting events or their needed machinery. In room mini bar fridge extremely loud. Breakfast offered was not worth the additional charge.
My tip would be to sleep elsewhere and perhaps use the partner restaurant the hotel is assisted by for an evening meal, which are good value and high quality.

We stopped here for one night's rest from driving. From the outside it does not look great and frankly I was not expecting much, especially given the low price.  What a surprise!  Nice large rooms (even the basic ones as they would not let us take a 'comfort' room with our dog).  Well thought out with a lot of details that much more expensive hotels often overlook, for example good quality hairdryer, make up remover pads etc.  Service was efficient and polite and they remembered to give us wifi password on check in (wifi was fast and worked well).  Parking is not guarded but it is next to a police station so seems safe. Immaculately clean and with comfy beds and nice crisp bed linen.  Definitely a good option for an overnight stay.

Surprisingly good - great value for the price

A nice, clean hotel with friendly staff, feeds well to the level they say, a huge disadvantage is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Plus, it's a very good WiFi in the room. We chose it for figure skating because it's very well located.

It's a clean, inexpensive hotel for a business trip. It's a small room, recently renovated. It has a TV, a shower. There's no faucet. The wifi works well. The windows go out onto the wall of the building next door.
