Saw here as part of an APT tour. A beautiful property. They also put on a falconry display. Quite amazing. Wandering through there were so many things to see. Eating at their restaurant was also excellent.

A fabulous place to visit

We really loved this place-- there are only 4 apartments, each sumptuously equipped in old world elegance.  We had a huge bedroom with a canopied bed, nice living room with a fireplace, and a large, well equipped bathroom.  There is a very nice cafe and a good restaurant-- all elegant and very inviting.  
The service, which is very polite with some English spoken was uneven-- we had to ask for coffee and tea with our breakfast several times until we got it, and the coffee maker in our room was broken and required, again, repeated requests for a replacement. 
There is a small park attached to the chateau, full of benches, and they provide blankets and pillows to make your stay in the park more enjoyable.  We took a guided  tour of the fascinating chateau (part of which is occupied by the current owner), which was built in 1725, and our guide, Barbara, was super nice and knowledgeable.  She even poured us champaign to sip during the tour.
We got a picnic basket for lunch, which was very nicely arranged.
It is rather expensive (they charged us for tap water and for cutlery!), but we still enjoyed it enormously and shall probably return for festive occasions.

Wonderful experience-- old world luxury, beautiful place, uneven servicce

Our visit was organised by APT. On arrival we were met with a glass of champagne and greeting by a member of the family, welcoming us to their home after which a guided tour ensued. The property is a present day marvel of ancient aristocratic living and has been lovingly restored by the family over the years. The tour was followed by a display of Falconry after which we enjoyed a lunch of Wild Boar in one of the halls. 
This was an enjoyable and relaxing day.
AS we didn't stay we are unable to rate its accommodation.

An entertaining experience

We visited Chateau Jemniste with APT Tours and we were greeted at the door by a member of the family with glasses of champagne before we were taken on a tour of the section of the chateau that is not occupied by the family. The rooms are furnished with the original, restored items which include dazzling chandeliers and items used in the 18th Century. While were were inside the Chateau it began to sleet outside and the gardens were covered in white. At the end of our tour were came out into sunshine - the weather is so changeable! Fortunate, as our next delight was the falconry display, where we sat under a specially erected marquee to watch 3 falcons, with their handlers accompanied by horse and dog give an amazing display of spectacular free-flying by these majestic birds of prey. This was followed by lunch in the hall adjoining the grounds we were served roast wild boar or wild boar stew. Following lunch we were free to wander the grounds which were magnificently manicured hedges and topiary and also made a visit to the zoo which is part of the estate. There were even some wallabies in residence there. I noticed that the Chateau offers accommodation in 3 apartment style residences inside the walls of the Chateau and if I ever returned to Prague would love to stay there. It is a very pleasant at to spend a day.

A gracious reminder of times gone by!

Located about an hour out of Prague, this Chateau is set in expansive gardens and offers an impressive falconry exhibition that is well worth seeing.  The Chateau is fairly interesting as a tour and lunch is available in either the flash dining room or the cafe attached to the shop.  The gardens are stunning, but we did not stay here
