It's always about the attitude of expectation. I rate the hotel and not the restaurant. The hotel is close to the main attractions, it's quiet and in a rural setting near a campsite. What's always important to me is that you have enough space to park your car and the reception is friendly and even tries to speak German. It's all simple, but for the price it's fine, everything worked well with reservation and payment. Even the free wlan worked. So for what I expected, there's a very good one.

We only stay one night but the receptionist was very efficient and our room was on the second floor

Twin  room, large, decorated nicely, complete with sofa stools and tv and Wi-Fi. The bathroom was very clean  and nicely kept.

Fresh towels were available and we would stay here again. Well recommended.

Hotel Talsky Mlyn

The room we got was clean, which is what you want when staying in a hotel. The service was a bit awkward. And the restaurant didn't have most of the food from the menu. We had gulaš. It was horrible! The next day for breakfast they demanded that we showed them the breakfast tickets, but when a German group of people arrived after us, the man in charged of the food immediately offered them coffee and eggs. So, the area the hotel Is located in is great if you want a calm weekend getaway and the price is good. But you may want to consider other restaurants or even bringing your own food. 

Clean rooms, good price, horrible food

The restaurant is a dark gloomy room in style usually described as traditionally rustic, but in fact shows nothing but the lack of invention. In a cheap boring interior like this  you cannot expect an extra quality, but even our short visit disgusted us. First invited us a smell of old, repeatedly burned oil (or fat?), the cheapest sort, what punched us over noses. That was the only invitation we got. After 15 minutes waiting at the table, without any sign of attention by staff, we asked the waiter to bring us the menu. The waiter brush us off saying he don't have time. This is the place where the guests bothers the staff. Its like a time machine what brings you back into the deepest period of real socialism. About the quality of food we have very little to say because we left immediately.

restaurant is a disaster

We booked a family event for 60 people in this restaurant and venue and staff could not be more helpful with organisation and arrangements. We had good czech food and delicacies from noon to night, great Pilsner Urquell beer on the tap and great time at very reasonable prices too. Playground for children just round the corner and lovely lake a few steps from the hotel.
The hotel is basic but clean and location beautifull,but you need a car there or be very fit for long walks to town and shops.

Fantastic service from restaurant.

Reception is open 24 h every day. 
In the room beds are comfortable and dreams are lovely. Bathroom has a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. Heating for towels did not work. Breakfast is expensive, choice of food is poor and staff is not pleasurable.
Near the hotel is large like for swimming.

Bad Restaurant

Small but clean and welcoming rooms, very courteous staff, restaurant and Wi-Fi... located in a quiet position with a few steps away the possibility of many activities... breakfast a little scarce by our standards but seemed to be in the mill of a well-known advertisement... a really positive atmosphere... definitely recommended!
