I advise you to be aware when you make your reservation! It is central, but the room is very small. There are no windows to open except a small bathroom window. During the night is was very uncomfortable because the window did not let much air in.  There was also a very noisy refrigerator keeping me up at night. 

But, because this place has a nice location I wanted to stay here again this May. However, because of the situation there is no way for me to travel to Denmark this spring. Still, I had to pay full price which I feel was very unfortunate. Due to todays situation I tried to rebook my stay in the beginning of June. The owner hide behind «terms and conditions» and were not willing to change my days. He charged me the full amount and his explanation was that I had ordered a cheap price. Well, the price was not low and every hotel in Europe where I have made reservation for this spring has been flexible and changed my stay without hesitation.

Be aware before you make a reservation

Even before we left we had several inconveniences. 1.the structure says it accepts animals but then writes me that it does not accept my dog.so I cancel the booking from booking but I am charged 30% of the amount as a penalty.I try to call to ask for explanations but I am told that it is booking that manages,while booking is trying to help me solve the problem.result:nothing good.After 2 months of cancellation I am deducted the entire amount of the room.the structure does not answer me again neither by phone nor by mail.booking tries to solve the problem...be careful then when you book to give your card data to this structure!

Timely withdrawal of the money from the paper without even going there!

This hotel is in a good location. We contacted the hotel the day before to let them know we would be arriving late. They left our room unlocked since it was after hours and when we arrived everything was as we were told it would be. If you arrive after there stated hours make sure they know. The place has a full kitchenette, spacious bathroom with a stand up shower and single sink. Bed was comfortable and room had a small table and two chairs in the corner. We didn’t hear our neighbors during the night which was great and we could park for free right in front of our door.

A huge plus is that the ground floor apartments are dog friendly. You would never guess people before us had pets in the room,  everything smelled good and was clean.

Disclaimer-other have complained about the hotels policies on cleaning and cancellation policy. It was clearly stated when we booked though. Our reservation was non-refundable and you do have to straighten up when you leave. This means, remove sheets from bed and leave on floor, take out rubbish and wash your own dishes. Simple enough.

This was a great price for what we got in Denmark where the average price of a hotel is higher then most places.

Met all our needs

In May, we booked a 2 night stay at this hotel for early August. Shortly after having made the booking via hotels.com, we were contacted by the owner, informing us at that due to a double-booking, the room would no longer be available. However, he offered an alternative nearby, which we accepted. Approximately two weeks prior to our visit, the owner contacted us again, informing us that the alternative he offered was no longer available, due to a water leekage. A third alternative was now offered of a somewhat lower standard, which we accepted against a 50% rebate. Not surprisingly the owner contacted us shortly after for the third time, saying that the 3rd alternative was double-booked as well, so he had to cancel completely our booking. We were flabbergasted; asking how this could possibly happen. He informed us that he had a booking from "booking.com", which had priority over "hotels.com". We were now left to our own devices trying to find alternative accomodation, for four persons, in the high season in Skagen. Miraculously we succeded, but at a cost which was 50% above the original booking. We contacted the owner one last time asking him to cover the difference since the whole mess was caused by their inefficient booking system. The request for compensation was (not surprisingly) refused.

Careful when you book

There's everything you need, a big bed, a small kitchen with everything in it, a kettle, a microwave, a stove, a bakery, and so much more.

A nice, very clean apartment

I was travelling with my family for a vacation. I booked 2 apartments at the hotel for 2 nights. I don't have any complaints but was surprised that we did not see any staff for the duration of our stay there. When we arrived we were informed of our rooms which were open and we had to just move in. While checking out we just cleared the room and moved out. The rooms are small but comfortable and adequately equipped.
I would suggest the hotel to include dish washing detergent in their room package since the dishes needs to be cleaned before leaving and visitors may be required to buy their own bottles. Also, some other basic items such as shower gel and hair conditioner would welcome.

For visitors planning to stay, please read the instructions carefully - particularly what all needs to be done before leaving the apartment.

The hotel has parking space available which was helpful. The hotel has a good location as the main town square is also a small distance.

I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Skagen, but advise them to carry their own toiletteries and kitchen detergents.

Nice hotel but little staff

This is just the perfect place as far as I can tell, though we only checked in yesterday.  It has exceeded our expectations.  For fall vacation, the price was great, especially for how much space and the quality of the apartment.  We are staying in apartment 1E which is a three bedroom apartment. 

Arrival: we arrived outside of the usual hours of the hotel reception, but that wasn't a problem at all.  We were in out apartment and greeted by a most friendly nord-jysk man.  We felt right at home and ready to go. 

Location: a quick walk to the walking street and everything close at hand.  The street is quiet and pleasant and you can smell (ever so slightly) the smell of smoked fish from the harbor when you open the windows in the morning.  Smell, in a good cozy way.

The apartment: has everything you need and more.  Brand new, lots of space and a very fully equipped kitchen.  I has expected a classic Scandinavian vacation apartment where you need to bring towels, sheets, coffee filters, dishwasher detergent etc. but the apartment has it all.  I think it may be better equipped then mine at home.  The bed is great to sleep on.  There is floor heating throughout the apartment.  Can't say enough. We are two adults, two kids, and one grandparent and there is space for all.  

You shouldn't expect idyllic summer house charm, but a modern Danish apartment.  Just great.

Fall vacation in Skagen

It's a small room with everything you need. There's bedding and towels, but the bed is self-removable. The bathroom is spacious, the hair in the shower from the landlord wasn't so great. There's a small balcony with seating. All right for one or two nights, it's too tight for longer stays.

Nice accommodation for short stays

Very clean apartment with large bed with good mattresses. Kitchen well equipped. Outdoor seating area with pillows and umbrellas. Central location, in a few minutes at the stand, in the center or at the train station. Very friendly staff. Washing machine usable for a small expense. Unfortunately, there are no windows in the sleeping area to open overnight, only doors. The fridge is noisy all the time, which can disturb anything. Near the port, partly it blows a strong bold fish over, the accommodation can neither change anything in the sense nor for that. In general, we are very satisfied and recommend this accommodation further.

We stayed only one night on a visit to Skagen.The first thing that surprised us was the disgusting smell of fish when we got out of the car.But then, inside the room, it didn't show up.Super clean, tidy, small kitchen with everything indispensable: fridge and microwaves.The new bathroom, comfortable and very clean.The bed very comfortable.Generally a little small but very recommended.No problem parking and close to the harbor.Don't miss the visit to the coast where the two oceans collide and the church buried in the sand.
