It was impossible to get any sleep in this warn down hostel. At the last floor of the building there’s a privately-owned terrance, where they usually party all night. The music volume was unreasonably high from my room. It felt like being at that party. The hostel owners cannot do much about it, since it’s another private property and so they have no control over it. I had to change hostel in order to get some sleep.

This is a well run and friendly place, with more of a hostel vibe (and prices to match) than the boutique guesthouse the name suggests. We had a very large double room overlooking the main road and, beyond that, the malecón.  Definitely well situated for restaurants and the waterfront.  Rooms at the back are probably quieter. Breakfast was fine, tea/coffee, fruit, scrambled egg and bread. Liz on the front desk was really helpful and friendly.

My stay was an unforgettable experience, the rooms were very comfortable, the attention received was wonderful, the view towards the malecon is beautiful, the food and drink delicious.

Great location and friendly staff.  They offer free breakfast and coffee/tea.  I like to sit on the balcony and look out.  The room and bathroom are old and don't look clean.  The shower was small and the metal soap holder sticking out scratched my arm.

I explain to myself... the photos that come out in opinions and bookings are real... but this one is saturated... that place is very closed... the entrance is from an old building... wine from my couple in Guayaquil... since then we wanted to spend a romantic weekend... to start with us and a room without a bathroom... the bathroom is outside and to share... the air conditioning is literal, winged in your ear and window air conditioning... super simple breakfast... coffee juice and a toast and a platinum... Lo bueno... the bank and the views, not the sound of your room, it's from the bedroom floor.... to share with my couple on the only balcony table at 12pm.... we were still very sorry we hadn't gone back.... obviously there was no wine....

Excelente Hostel, to get from the terminal you just need to take the subway to El Correo station for $0.35.Excellent location next to the malecón.Very clean and very comfortable beds.Very helpful staff who recommended me all the places to go sightseeing.

Manso Hotel is a hotel.

The room was clean and the shared bathroom was very close to the room. the aircondition was a bit noisyThe staff working in the reception was very helpfull with restaurants recommendations and taxibooking. They even called our next hotel in Peru and helped us arranging the airport pickup there.

I made a reservation in this guest house and had to cancel the trip because of a medical problem in the family. The reservation was already paid, since I opted for the lowest price without the right to cancel. Still, I texted the accommodation explaining the situation and the impossibility of continuing the trip. They immediately returned the payment and said that they were very sorry for the health problem. I am extremely grateful for that. Congratulations on honesty and sympathy.

Honesty and Sympathy

I visited the place a week ago. What could be a good place leaves much to be desired. The booking system either doesn't work well or they preferred to give one of the rooms reserved by us to a larger group who arrived the next day. The toilet in the rooms is mediocre, hair on the floor, the balcony, totally neglected, the bathrooms with mushrooms on the walls. I assume that for low cost they work with volunteers, but without any training in customer service. And breakfast; pan de mould, (and we'll get it in drawers), a mocha bar, pasta, no manatee butter. It was supposedly a spicy fruit, but there were only margaritas and lettuce that was waiting during the holiday.
