I had reserved a room and paid 50%, however a week before I got a call and was told that a group rented the entire hotel so we would not have access to any of the facilities, not even the breakfast that was included and we would not have direct access to the beach, as we would have to do it elsewhere.

Cancellation by them.

A very nice little house in front of a beautiful beach with very little traffic.It has a deal with a tour company to do sport fishing, snorkeling and whale watching excursions, you can hire the excursions from the accommodation.The regents are very nice.☺️

Very welcoming.

We spent a wonderful vacation in Casa Amarilla. Nothing more than to get in love with the place: the location is more than perfect, with the beach almost for you (a beach, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and cleanest in Ecuador), the decoration, the spaces, the little details simply make you want to enjoy every corner. The room is beautiful, clean and equipped; the bed is great!Distinguish the attention of Diego y Patri, always ready to help, please or simply have a pleasant conversation. El desayuno nos encantó, especially el bolón del domingo: the best I have tasted in my almost 4 years living in Ecuador.

A place you never want to go.

La casa amarilla is located on the seafront in a very quiet area towards the outskirts of Puerto Cayo (to go to dinner in the center you need to take a taxi or your own vehicle).The house is very comfortable (without luxuries) and the hosts are very friendly.The rooms are right with TV (with NetFlix) and WiFi throughout the house.We have access to the common areas: terrace (with football), living room and kitchen.The breakfast is served on the terrace, the same right.We can choose between criollo or intercontinental.

An attractive house in front of the sea.

This yellow villa is sitting right on the beach, with palm trees just in front of you. We rent the room on the first floor with seaview. The room was large and clean, bathroom big but in fact it was not just the room which we had rent, no, we more or less had the whole upper (first) floor of the villa which included a huge open-roof terrace as well as a covered shaded sitting area. If you just want to be lazy and enjoy the ocean breeze, then this is for you. The villa is at the end of Puerto Cayo beach, it's a nice 30 min walk along the beach to town with its small eateries on the beach, all selling the freshest fish and seafood at low fares. If you don't feel like walking, grab one of the mototaxis plying the streets, it's one USD (for two people) from town to the villa. Villa Casa Amarilla is run by a very nice young couple (in fact Diego has cared for the house during the past seven years already) who really love the place - and they manage to give a very warm and welcoming spirit to the place, you can feel that this place is being cared for. In the same way, Diego and Patricia care for their guests. You can get breakfast at a small fee, but what a breakfast! Different every day, if you wish. Also, you can order dinner if you want to eat at home - Patricia used to work as a cook...and there are always small fresh flowers on your table which Diego has cut off the colourful bougainvillea, it's all these little details which make this place special.
