Hotel located about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the center of Kajaani, free parking, spacious facilities are comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast with little variety.

A good choice!!

Old-school motel for people who want to experience traditional/historic accommodation in Finland. Basic rooms. Absolutely lovely and very tasty Finnish traditional food :0) My grandma would have approved! Also very nice and helpful staff.

For nostalgic travellers

There was mold in the bathroom. In two days I got an ophthalmitis. No need to change the room: the other guests had similar bathrooms. I didn´t get any money back: I asked the 100 € I paid for 5 nights extra for a single room.

MOLD IN THE BATHROOM

We stopped on the way to Levi's. A good budget hotel. There's everything you need to get a good rest, both by road and by stopping for a few days. A good breakfast, a good location. In the summer, I think it'll be a very good place. As a shortfall, very weak internet.

It's a good place.

We stayed for a week in this hotel. It's allright for the price asked for. We could say is something among a Hotel and a Motel, but clean and comfortable enough for a short visit. They offer a fair breakfast, but we never had any other meal there. So I'm not sure about if they offer lunch or similar. They close reception around 09:30-10:00 depending the weekday, but is not a problem as everything is fine if you are not arriving late.
They offer a sauna for each sex from 18:00 to 21:00.
For business is a bit short of facilities but you can manage as other options are far. The wiki lacked connection in the romos, but we were told it was a momentary problem.

Correct hotel

Despite the -30 outside the window, the hotel was very comfortable. In everything else, unfortunately, the comfort does not match the cost of living. Note that the reception is only open until 22:00. if you are late, you will be left with the key in the safe at the entrance. The room did not like it very much. Ordinary, simple, with a very modest setting. The bathroom is small, water from the shower flows to the floor. Despite this, there are fans and liquid soap in the room. The bed is convenient. There are few channels on the TV, and everything is in Finnish. Breakfast is available. But, not to say that wow! You won't be hungry until you reach a typical Swedish table. Coffee, like in Finland, is very hot. There is a big price similar to a free car park, but we haven't gotten to it.

A simple hotel.

The Kajaani Hotel is located a little outside the center and is located on the Kajaaninjoki. If you like to take nature trips, the hotel is well situated. You can definitely not compare the hotel with the big hotel chains. I like the rooms even if they were properly furnished. In addition, a sauna is available.

A bit of a break.

The hotel is well located, close to the city centre and on the lake.The staff are nice and very helpful.The decoration of the rooms (and the hotel itself) is old (70 years old) but the beds are comfortable,the bathroom is clean with dry hair,a counter with coffee and bakery,free internet connection.The breakfast is clean.

good quality ratio price

Stayed a night during a road trip. Ample free parking. Is a 15-20 minute walk along river to downtown bars and restaurants. Does its job, was clean and ok, but decor is dated back to the 70's 80's. Ok choice if u like it a bit more affordable than the dowtown hotels. 

More like a hostel... 

I came here on a group trip and although the hotel isn't the lap of luxury, it does the job and has wifi and your essentials! The location completely makes it to be honest, you're right by the lake and it's about a ten minute walk into the city along the lake.
