Chemilly on the Yonne

A lovely castle and its very well-maintained green park. Our private room and bathroom were very spacious and nicely furnished. The owners are hospitable and serve a quality breakfast. Very good quality price ratio. We had a pleasant stay.

Stay calm

We are in the Chambre Meursault, very large, the gigantic bathroom with shower and bathtub. Decoration, I love, is in the theme, the old atmosphere with the furniture, curtains, the baldaquin bed, the carpet, the cabinet, the chairs, the chandeliers, and at the same time a touch of modernity with Bordeaux, the white ceiling, super, the rest sober. Balcony with views of the pool and the space, nature and the vineyards. The places Very clean. Hotel table, Gaspachio de Tomates, a small chicken heater or a magret de barbecue, excellent kitchenette, and at the same time a touch of modernity with the Bordeaux, the white ceiling, super, everything sober.

Formidable

We could only stay one night due to personal circumstances but at 2 hours drive from Paris it wasn't a problem - a short distance off the main Paris to Lyon autoroute.  But this is as far from a motorway as you can imagine when you get there. A beautiful house, very peaceful, fantastic rooms (we stayed in Chablis room which has a balcony) and an outdoor pool although it was a bit early in the season to use it - but warm enough to dip toes in still.  We were warmly welcomed - we do speak some French - and given recommendations of where to eat in the evening - a car is essential, nothing on foot close enough.   Breakfast was fantastic with home made jams and fresh croissants and bread.   A great base for exploring this fantastic area.

Amazing location. Warm welcome.

I arrived at a nice establishment, very well received by the son of the owners, very friendly. The room is spacious and very clean. When I fell asleep, turning off the light, I hear a roar above my head. A bald mouse is flying over my bed. Panicked, I go down to look for the owners, and there... nobody. I go back several times to my room but the bald mouse is still there and keeps flying over the bed. I can't stay in the room at night. At 11 o'clock I keep in touch with my owners by phone and I'm knocking on their door.

One of the worst nights of my life

We have stepped into this large house reserved at the last minute. Very welcome. The Sancerre room is very large and quiet. The breakfast is complete and meets our expectations. The kindness of our guests has conquered us and will give us if our roads pass through Auxerre to take another step in this place.

Very good address

This place is magical. We stayed in the Chambre Mersault, which has a 35sqm bedroom plus charming balcony and a 25sqm bathroom! It’s so quiet, all you can hear are the birds. Breakfast was excellent with really good croissants and a selection of homemade jams. I left with severe Château envy!

Stay in a small but perfectly formed Château!

Booking online you often have unpleasant surprises, this is not the case, the castle from the beginning of 900 is really picturesque, immersed in the French countryside, between rows and animals in the pasture, it seems to go back in time. Spacious, bright and tastefully furnished rooms in classic French style. The hostess is kind and caring and recommends us the restaurant for a great dinner.

Charmant

A lovely little corner of peace and greenery... rather discreet and friendly hosts while subtly like the charm that operates when you are in this castle... and cherry on the cake: the pool, the terrace where breakfast is taken in the morning when the time is right.

I'm going back to Burgundy.

A beautiful setting for a coworker's wedding, a splendid night and day, whether it's the parking lot, the hall, the park, the terrace, the view, a magical place for a magical wedding, a real place between technology and old fashioned fashion.
