The magic of the place makes us forget the Norman climate. We stayed in the chicken coop again where everything was waiting for us... It's a bit like we were coming back home. The sofa bed was already installed for our girls, just perfect! The reception by the owners is very family friendly and warm. Very nice decor for these holidays in Toussaint... Indeed, the housewife changes her decor every season! I confirm again that the Washroom is fully equipped, with enough to live independently for meals, with a bonus, the car at the stairs if possible, if the weather permits, from the woods where Brelades dances for a few wonderful meters.

Second idyllic stay!

We felt very comfortable with Huguette and Serge, every morning we were spoiled with a wonderful breakfast, which we could even enjoy in the beautiful garden for a few days, we are happy to come back.

A relaxing stay in a wonderful environment with very nice hosts

Idyllic location for a guest room where the charming homeowners Huguette and Serge are taking little care of! The house cakes are excellent, the coffee is served in the old fashioned way... we wonder what these marketing coffee machines we use every day can do here... Huguette and Serge always have the right advice, and they made us discover wild garlic/bear garlic... which we have been anxious to prepare for our return with what we have picked from the Breuil wood every month. It is truly the most quiet, zen and serene place we have had in Normandy for many years. The garden, the spring... we will soon bring everything to rest and the tranquillity here and here. We will return to it with immense pleasure, and we will be enjoying it again!

It's magical.

Caroline was very smiling, she served us a little welcome appetizer with Normandy cider and calvados, giving us good advice for the area, we slept in the Africa-themed room, with a really original decoration, the bed was very comfortable, in a quiet countryside place in the Normandy forest, the next morning at breakfast we were entitled to croissants, bread, jams, but also small homemade salt cakes ☺️, accompanied by fruit, milk, coffee, served under a terrace outside in the shade. This was a really nice time. We were welcomed to this house until we received more welcome tea.

Just perfect.

We stayed one weekend in the Le Poulailler gite of La Cours de Basse. It was a surprise of my time and what a surprise! The gite and its owners are simply formidable. The Le Poulailler has private access above a dependency: it has all the charm of Norman houses in the Pays d'Auge with pigeons and clay tiles. The presence of a kitchenette or nothing is missing to cook if you want to stay for several days. The deco is really lovely, we think and in line with the theme of the chicken garden. The owner has painted several pictures on a treasure trove: the baguel is simply a nice haven of peace with sculpture, the delicious snacks of our breakfast.

A very pleasant time in the land of Augsburg

First guest room experience and I'm filled! Nice welcome, very nice setting, guests close to the clientele... we feel good at home.

A soft and calm nest

The term guest room takes on all its meaning here! An unusual welcome and atmosphere. Huguette and Serge are taking little care of their guests. The atmosphere around the breakfast table together makes this friendly time so much more enjoyable. We'll be back! Nathalie & Thim PS thanks for the camemberts, they're really juicy:-)

Wonderful B & B. Glorious setting  .
Our room was quirky but that added to its charm.
Sergie and Hugenot couldn't have been more helpful and charming as hosts.
Lovely breakfast . All homemade.
All this and only 3 mile from Honfleur.

Best B & B I have stayed in.

We stayed in the Studio which had a small kitchen. It was spacious with everything you need. It was definitely quirky with loads of chicken pictures and ornaments everywhere.It led downstairs to a lovely garden which we were encouraged to use and an area in which we could park safely. Huguette and Serge our hosts were extremely kind and helpful giving us advice on areas to visit. Also the strikes and floods were happening while we were there and they gave advice on how we were to get to our next, flood-ridden destination. The home-made breakfasts were excellent with different local specialties every day on the the six breakfasts we had there. The food when possible was organic and the eggs from their own hens. It was about 5 minutes drive to the local petrol station and 10 minutes to the lovely port of Honfleur and yet it was in the heart of beautiful countryside and quiet roads. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.  The free wifi only really worked in the garden or breakfast area.

Wonderful , warm hospitality.

We had a really great 4 night stay here - and would have loved to stay longer -  so hope to return next year! The location and property are wonderful - Quiet, Quaint and Querky!!  Huguette and Serge are such lovely hosts, and did everything to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.  Our accommodation in the Studio was more than adequate, and very cosy - with a small kitchen area meant that we could cook our own meals some evenings if we didn't want to eat out.  However, the location was ideal for exploring much of the beautiful local area, and there was no shortage of restaurants.  Honfleur was a very short drive away, and other resorts and towns were also easy to reach by car.  Our breakfast each morning was excellent, with Huguette surprising us each day with some new pastry,cake,and jams, along with the usual bread, croissants etc.  As already stated - we plan to return!
