We spent one night in this lodge after our day at the Crazy Puy. The owners were charming and caring. They welcomed us late at night with kindness. They offered us fresh drinks. Our room was very nice. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. The breakfast was very well served with quality products. Very good jams, fresh fruit salad, and especially the good lost bread prepared by Veronica every minute. Thank you very much for this pleasant time with you.

It's a very nice place.

Excellent reception, typical and peaceful place, intentional owners, excellent quality breakfast, atypical, quiet rooms. A place full of history to be photographed on the walls. We had a great stay there. Very good quality/price ratio.

It's a nice place to explore.

Our stay got off to a good start when we were welcomed by the family dog. The property is beautiful, calm, with stone buildings and set in a spacious green garden, with access to a patio area overlooking the fields. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and recommended a great pizza restaurant in a neighbouring village. Breakfast was served in a beautiful refurbished mezzanine in a barn. The food was great, delicious croissants, a variety of bread, jam, fruit salad, cereal and we were given a treat of "brioche perdue" aka French toast but with sweet bread rather than regular bread. The rooms were well decorated and modern, comfortable and reasonably spacious. The bathrooms were practical and functional. We particularly liked how the rooms kept their original features of the old farm building while being modernized and tastefully decorated. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the rooms, with cups, kettle etc. The beds were comfortable and the whole property is spotlessly clean. Our only regret is that we were only staying for one night. I guess we'll just have to go back soon! 

Lovely gîte in rural Vendée

Near the Puy du Fou, quiet, beautiful property with very hospitable and friendly owners. We had the double room, spacious with a good mattress. Breakfast is plenty with good homemade jams. We will return there.

Old laundry restored with great taste.

Charming place in the countryside very well renovated and furnished in an old farmhouse. The reception by the owners is really warm, the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and spread around the stone buildings. We feel good there, the view is gorgeous over the countryside, without screws or noise. The breakfast is really copious, varied and of high quality. What about the warm lost brioche!! We have documentation and tips for the visits. A friendly address to recommend without recommendation of the Puy du Fou and the Park of Maulévrier.

The warmth of the guesthouse

We stayed there as a family for 8 nights and I am sure that I will return. The guests are charming, warm and caring. The rooms are very beautiful and the bed is super pleasant (we sleep like babies). And what about plenty of breakfast, with local produce, fresh wines from the village's artisanal bakery. The guest house is ideally located, 15-20 minutes from Puy du Fou and its fabulous Cincénie Cinés and 7 minutes from the very beautiful Cholet centre. Without hesitation I can only recommend you close your eyes!

Just charming.

First of all, the reception is excellent. The owners are lovely and we feel that they are pleased to welcome us. The setting is pleasant and relaxing. There are still traces of the old laundry and it gives a little charm. The room is beautiful, tastefully decorated and the bedding is very good. The breakfast is delicious and we give ourselves fresh fruit salad, homemade jam-packed bread pies... In short, a charming parenthesis for the Parisians we are. We will be back, that's for sure.

A Refuge of Peace

We were staying at the Cedar House, a very beautifully decorated and very clean room, we wanted to stay there. We came to visit the Puy du Fou, which is 15 minutes away.

What a wonderful discovery.

All the comments are unanimous and justified! We had the same impressions as the previous hosts: discretion and kindness, charm and calm, gentleness of living and proximity to the madman's puddle, old stones and neat decoration... why stay elsewhere??? unless everything is already booked!! Don't change anything everything was perfect.

Exceptional

The 5***** reviews are unanimous and more than deserved because the place is simply magical. The house full of history is furnished with great taste. Calm guaranteed, so close to the Puy du Fou with breathtaking views of the hills, far from the horizon.
