A wonderful discovery that this place, a real haven of peace in the middle of the hills, a big thank you to the new owners of Niels and Sam, quality accommodation, perfect cleanliness, warm welcome, and above all a particularly positive note for the evening meal (we are pleased to see that our guests are two former professional chefs).

It's a great stay.

We recently stayed at Le Bourdiel and Sam and Nele were great hosts.  We were warmly welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  We enjoyed delicious tasting and well-presented dinners cooked by Sam at the convivial hosts table whilst getting to know fellow guests.  We would definitely go back.

Wonderful friendly oasis of calm in the beautiful French countryside!

Sam was the perfect host  We arrived tired and hungry and were delighted to be offered a hot drink and then later treated to his cooking skills . As a former chef the meal he produced was excellent and of restaurant standard  with good wine to accompany.  Our room had a powerful hot  double shower and a lovely comfortable bed  Everything was scrupulously clean.
 Loved the setting here with views over undulating countryside. Beautiful quiet relaxing place to spend some time and we would definitely return.

Excellent hospitality

Ruud & Gerda were amazing hosts, we had the whole place to ourselves some nights. Watching the sunsets by the pool overlooking the valley. We had our own rustic outdoor kitchen attached to our room w/ a fridge so we could store cake, cheese and bread form the local markets - handy on Sundays when nothing nearby was open! Bathrooms, room and the kitchen were beautiful,clean homely with a rustic charm decor. Breakfast was fresh and the neighbouring Engayrac village is idyllic. Lovely friendly locals in the nearby villages and the bed was so comfortable. The other apartments were self contained so you had privacy, and short walk to a nearby lake.

Its how you'd imagine living in France to be like

We spent a weekend at the barbecue and we highly recommend the place! Especially to nature lovers, calm! The guests are super welcoming with clean and well-dressed rooms, a huge outdoor kitchen is at your disposal, very well equipped! Breakfast is very pleasant and served in a beautiful veranda overlooking the countryside. We will definitely return there, because the prices are more than right in view of the services.

Ruud & Gerda our hosts are a charming Dutch couple who recently took over Le Bourdiel earlier this year.  We received a wonderful welcome, as did Dexter our Border Collie, who had a terrific time running around with their younger rescue dog Naper (not sure of the spelling!), whilst their older rescue dog Toopie (again not sure of the spelling) kept us company.

The main house has a beautiful view of the countryside, and this is where we had a hearty breakfast, with lovely fresh bread.  In between there is a small detached gite, then a separate building with 3 ensuite rooms.  Our room was spacious, with a large bathroom containing large shower, with a nice stone sink.   The room was rustically decorated with a four poster bed. Very comfortable and next door to an enclosed outside kitchen/dining room which looked to be well equipped although we only used the fridge to store our drinks.   There is also a nice terrace to sit outside.  

Le Bourdiel is only a short drive from the small town of Beauville, which has a shop, cafe/bar and bakery which also produces artisan pizzas.  We found this to be a very friendly area, with an English vet, Diane James, who completed Dexters return passport.

I would highly recommend staying at Le Bourdiel and could have happily have stayed for more than one night!  


Very friendly hosts!

Ruud and Gerda were lovely hosts, we had a delicious freshly cooked meal. The location is quiet and peaceful, fantastic heated pool, delicious breakfast. We took our bikes as the roads are quiet and scenic.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great for families

An impeccable welcome for our atypical family of three children, the owners are very warm and always available. Our room was perfect. Our breakfasts are excellent and a real time of friendship. The big heart of the stay, the dinner prepared and served by the owner, a real delight. The pool is also a big plus of the stay with views of the surrounding countryside. Only a small regret, we didn't have time to enjoy the spa and care, so we'll come back to fix it!

I had booked an offer for 2 nights in Lovers + Breakfast + Spa and Massage via Groupon website. I went to get a meal myself because there was no more, the spacious room but with a few shortcomings in the household (hair in the shower). No tourist information was given to us during our stay including asking for the glass. First good breakfast but no more (no more Viennese) with clean dishes. I went to get a meal myself because there was no more room on the buffet. Regarding the care, the owner did not want to make us the one that my companion would not like after a very long time. So we had to go to the table after an hour of Jacuzzi. Then we could not be disappointed by this.
