We needed accommodations for a large team. The Hotel La Grande Cascade provided comfortable rooms, great views, and excellent food. Alexandrine and her staff went out of their way to take care of all our needs.  My family definitely plans to return.

Wonderful group experience

There were 53 people in our party and 33 cars for our motor club national event all accommodated with no problem and plenty of parking also with under ground parking for push bikes and motorbikes. The owner and staff could not do enough for us and the food at all the meals was first class and plenty of it the hotel has been in the same family for generations. Bar prices were very reasonable as were the rest of the prices you will not be disappointed with your stay. We will stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Excellant

Basic rooms but a good shower, a secured garage at level -1 for the motorcycle or bycicle and a outstanding cuisine in a superbe envirement of Gerardmer and Vosges mountains. Perfect place to stay and do some tours for several days.

Cosy biker hotel in mountain rich envirement

We planned to stay at this hotel for two nights, but in the end left after just one. I can only talk about our experience, but our two rooms were very different. One was fine, it had a stunning view out to the mountains and was only marred by not having a balcony, which was offered on the Logis website through which we booked. However the room was large and reasonably clean.

The other room was at the front of the hotel, next to the road which is pretty loud and busy, though far less so at night. The decor of this room was very outdated, the fittings poor and the sheet had a suspicious stain, which is never very encouraging, is it? The bathroom was OK, the toilet one of those that mash up the waste so it's quite loud. The fluorescent lighting in the bedroom was just nasty, and the general ambience was just rather worn out and unloved. Outside the room the hotel itself was shabby, with a bit of paint and new carpets in places it would be so much better. 

It's not even that cheap, we moved to another hotel that was absolutely stunning for the same price - and they didn't have the cheek to charge €5 for wifi access. I've never had that before.

On the plus side, the staff were all pleasant and the food in the restaurant was good. I hope they can raise their game because with a complete revamp the hotel could really be a winner.
