we left a review, using our usual pseudym.as is authorized by trip advisor, so as to maintain our privacy. the "host" in her intolerance for poor reviews published our name on this site without our authorization in our review 3 says ago, that we had to erase, in fact after 5 hours we left this nightmare of a place going to a nice cozy and safe place thank goodness. we mailed de place at midnight informing of our departure by taxi. the next day at 7:55 they "cancelled" on booking.com saying we never arrived, so  we couldn't evaluate despite much proof that we were there. they insist on charging and eliminating right to review. surprising! a first experience for us.  (now we understand inI part how they have ONLY 10 star reviews for this unglamorous ordinary suburban local, 24 min from the station,with,  at best, variable welcome. (the host does not welcome everyone well!!) rather than leaving a variety of evaluations as is the case even for world class 5 star hotels (which average 9/10) the host chose to publish our name. we had to erase our review and report here to maintain  our right for confidentiality and privacy. (our role as client is not public information that we publicize as is their role as bnb that they choose to publicize). this approach is indicative of the host's welcome. we chalked it up to a bad day for the "host" at first.but she seems quite intolerant of views other than those that consider her a marvelous host, which she absolutely was not in our case. option  not as reserved (we have proof which didn't concern her, but that was not dramatic) , and she was deeply u pleasant from the moment we arrived. she denies all she said (much of which we have proof of), and threatens to take us to court if we cite or share proof.  (by the way booking invited us to leave this evaluation here) . never ever had juch an experience in a hotel or bnb! presumably madam will again be on the attack and likely lacking forthrightedmess in her response, as an intimidation to remove our response. never before experienced!!

nightmare of an experience worst ever

Very warm and very pleasant home. Large, comfortable, quiet and restful accommodation. All very clean. Very cozy lunch with homemade produce. The garden is also very pleasant. To do and recommend

1 night as a couple

Very large, comfortable, cozy, typical accommodation, resting with benefits far beyond the prices practiced elsewhere. Real homemade breakfast and not bought at the local supermarket. I recommend +++++

Exceptional and relaxing frame!

An address to recommend... everything was perfect. Our room was spacious, in fact almost a small apartment, a super bed, a super decoration, a nice and comfortable bathroom, a little attention to relax with tea or coffee. A personalized breakfast, refined with nice cups and blankets, good products and above all the kindness of the owner, its efficiency and impeccable cleanliness.

Perfect, wanting to stay longer

Very clean guest house and a neat and appropriate decoration of the place. Really pleasant owner and listening to the customer. What happiness!!! I highly recommend. It is a haven of peace 😉.

I highly recommend

At first glance a welcoming guest room, pleasant setting and welcoming accommodation.But small room, no wifi, no TV but mostly bed bugs...Result: itching and spectacular bites.I alerted the owner, who admitted to having had one before, I asked for a refund.No response for a month and a half.

It is not easy to find accommodation on a trail that includes Melun. What a contrast between this hotel's quiet street and the discreet charm of the spaces, arranged around a pleasant inner courtyard.

A discreet cocoon near the city

First of all, when you get to the street, it's sad, you don't feel too much like you're on vacation and to park it's a gallery. We were welcomed by the big blue hangar, it was dark and like you're going back to a farm. For the room, the furniture is old, it's eye-popping. Even the bed cover and the carpets. It's been a long time since I've seen any old trinkets in an establishment. There's nothing against the old style of living, it can have charm but it's more than a one-hundred-piece style.

Old, sad, too expensive

It's not as clean anymore, the reception is not at the top, it's changed a lot since Marie Claude is no longer here! The only positive thing is, there's practically no street noise (car, etc...) unless you have noisy neighbors, which was unfortunately our case.

Nothing more to see

Located in the heart of the old centre of Melun, in a restored old house, the Closerie des Trois Marottes is an excellent choice for visiting the Château de Vaux le Vicomte. The house is organized around a beautiful courtyard with a tree-lined garden and several rooms enjoy small terraces or balconies. Everything is very comfortable and perfectly clean. Breakfast is very good. Finally, the owner is very friendly and tidy. A good address!
