The room is very nice with a nice bathroom. Our room was overlooking the back of the hotel, quiet. The bed is good with a good mattress. The breakfast buffet is varied and cozy. The hospitality and friendly service.

Good quality price ratio in a beautiful area

We disagreed at all with the previous negative assessments. It is true that there is no one at the hotel reception but we had the information to go to the restaurant across the street. We had boxes which did not prevent us from having a great reception, very clean, spacious rooms, with a comfortable bed, for the noise it is true that some rooms are on the side of the road but they are really soundproofed, breakfast is in a room at the bottom of the hotel with a very full buffet and a very nice person who serves.

Very satisfying service

In the use of a SMARTBOX we spent 1 night at the hotel the falken. A first negative impression on the reception (no). Indeed when you arrived people to welcome us.... After a few minutes of waiting we were taken care of. The rooms are very correct, overall nothing to say about the cleanliness which is rather good for a 3-star hotel. A few small points to review of course the set is very convenient. The beds are comfortable, to review at the level of the hours (which are very hard and hurt the neck quickly... a small detail that will suit the night of other guests).

Very nice time in this little hotel the room is simple but perfect beautiful bathroom the staff very nice perfect breakfast and the lady who takes care of it is very caring with the guests the restaurant is across the street and we eat very well and the waiter gives everything he has to give you service.hotel to advise when at the ballad corners we have discovered quite a few things about visiting a super large pond like a lake fetish place.

Nice stay.

A real hotel disaster, no receptionist, spider webs on the doors, no hospitality, I'd rather not talk about the restaurant, finally what we can talk about restaurant, and for starters, the customer who gets really pissed off.

It's a shame

Le Falken is located in the centre of Philippsbourg, right next to the national road, which allows easy access to the Vosgues du Nord natural park. I stayed for three nights in one of the spacious rooms (number 2) with large bathroom. Overall, my stay was good because of friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The windows have blinds, so the room was totally dark (also useful in blocking out the sun in summer time). Wifi worked very well and the air-conditioning was a must-have in this hot weather.The breakfast was good and varied... 

...however, here are some points that could've been better:
- the mattress was very hard. I woke up with a back-ache three nights in a row
- there's no cleaning service - garbage bins don't get emptied, towels aren't replaced (even if they're on the ground)... only beds get made again.
- room number 2 was next to the reception, which meant I was awake at 6:30am as staff was already preparing for breakfast. Also in the evening it stays rather noisy until at least 23pm.

Good location, good food... average sleep

Rooms just breakfast room uncomfortable, no contact, restaurant very nice, fantastic easy kitchen, chef is a chef passionate and generous, everything super clean. Service very friendly and helpful! If it wasn't so close, we'd come more often!

Short term

Comfortable small family hotel. The hotel and the restaurant across the street combine a cozy atmosphere with Alsatian charm. The hotel is three-star equipped accordingly with a lot of attention to detail. The food is very good, the price is right. Highly recommended.
