A hotel that we recommend to history lovers. A smiling and warm welcome, the Napoléon room is a pure wonder, the renovation takes us back in time (which we have not known, hihihi, but we would believe it) Very well equipped, cleanliness is impeccable, charming. Access to the room is deserved, the staircase is steep but it is worth it. The view of this illuminated village late at night and early in the morning was full of eyes. The bosses and all the staff are very smiling and welcoming and it is very pleasant. The lunch is very copious and of very good quality. We will enjoy a room when the doors are full of light (the eyes are really bright) I recommend you to try it out + make the next time you have a perfectly pleasant experience + make your eyes shine + make your eyes shine + make your eyes shine + make your eyes shine + make your eyes shine.

a must-see hotel

The two rooms that we rented as the upper double room were a ground floor room from a wet basement where the bathroom fan was always on and a room in the main building above the kitchen and from the old floor came all the smell of the restaurant! Unacceptable. We tried to sleep and ran away without breakfast.

Weight

Friendly staff. Good location. Comfortable bed. Room unfortunately full of flies when we arrived. Black out curtains (but they didn’t fit the windows). Tea and coffee making facilities (but no milk). Adequate breakfast (but couldn’t it be protected from flies?)

Quirky place!

We stayed just one night in the Louis XIV room at the front of the hotel with windows overlooking the street. The bed was comfortable, it had a walk-in shower, separate toilet room and the bedroom was large with a desk and separate seating area. Nice to have a tea kettle and a good breakfast. The staff is friendly. 
Recommend lunch or dinner on the back patio which is very nice. 

Interesting hotel 

A real journey back in time... we were in the Anne of Brittany room, ideally located, welcoming the most pleasant, good breakfast, sweet price.

What a charm!

If you're looking for a place to stay that allows you to travel back in time, go ahead. In addition to being ideally located, this hotel has been able to restore its rooms without any lack of taste. Breakfast is top and cherry on the cake.

It's a very nice place.

Off-street establishment, very laid-back, very welcoming staff, good comfort, good bed, good lunch at the brewery table, a step to recommend for the little ones.

Restaurant is nice, and brekfast was good too.
Rochefort is a very small town that can be walked in a couple of hours, but worth the visit.

We arrived too early to check into our room, but the staff could not have been more accommodating.  We had lunch in the garden courtyard while the room was prepared . Realizing my husband could not climb stairs, they changed our room to a lovely suite ('Marie Antoinette') worthy of the name.  Tastefully decorated with a pink and white  tuille de Jouey, but not overdone, the room had lots of space, comfortable bed, and everything we could ask--a coffee pot and tea and coffee, essentials for the bathroom, and a window on the garden.
Our entrance was separate and the doorframe covered with wisteria--a dream for a gardener like me.  Breakfast was included and fresh-squeezed orange juice, cappuccino, bread and pastries was perfect.  Parking was close (about 100 meters), as were all the shops and fine restaurants, the church and the chateau.  There was live music (two excellent guitarists) for cocktails in the garden, a bar that served crepes at all hours and a very good restaurant.  It's important to remember this was a chambers-hote, not a 4 or 5 star hotel, but the staff and accommodations could not have been nicer and we passed a lovely evening.

Delightful and welcoming place to eat and rest, and the location is the best!

It's an exceptional place, because it's a 1544 building in the heart of the village, perfect for enjoying the Christmas lights, and we spent two nights in a beautiful room that our guests greeted like kings with our nine-month-old baby.
