The host is very friendly and pleasant. Dinner is simple but very good and broadly enough to satisfy all appetites. The classic but complete breakfast is good. The only small bemool

All right, but...

For one stage night, the late reception was friendly, the location was both close to the highway for not having to have gone 20min but far enough away to not hear it at all! The room was large enough to put a provided umbrella bed (appreciated!). The shower room would have deserved a refreshment. However the pillows must be changed, maybe they had another in which we did not ask.

One night step: enough

The reception is nice, the rooms are right, but the cook must be on vacation when I read the other reviews!.....every night the same menu is offered: tomato salad, beets and sausage, fish fry with fries, ice cream for 21€!...but nice reception.

Nice to meet you, but...

Visiting this hotel is like entering a 70's time warp which in some ways is charming but has its drawbacks. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Our room was small but bed was comfortable except for dreadful pillows which need urgently replacing.. The bathroom did not appear to have been updated since the 70's but was clean and functional. It is uncomfortably close to the motorway which makes it difficult to have a window open.  
The restaurant was dark panelled with quite dated decor. We had a routier-type meal; no choice but very good fritture de carpe as the main course. For 3 simple courses, It seemed expensive at 21 euros.
Breakfast was similarly basic.
Overall it did not quite give value for money although we enjoyed our stay.

A trip back to the 70's

A friendly hotel and restaurant or rest is guaranteed and fantastic dining as well as a good breakfast. In a relaxing atmosphere with the kindness of the patrons and the attention to our egart.,I recommend the best limousine ever to eat.

super pleasant

We stayed for one night on the way to the south of France in late May 2013.  For overnight stops we often use budget chain hotels so this family-run hotel was a pleasant change.  Very comfortable, clean and well-furnished; we would certainly stay again if we made a similar journey.  Very convenient for the autoroute but far enough away from the motorway to give you a feel for the beauty of the area.  We used the restaurant for our evening meal; the menu was limited but the food was excellent with freshly cooked local ingredients and the service was outstanding.  Breakfast was also really good and as we wanted an early start, we were pleased to find it served at times to suit our journey plans.  

Chain hotels close to the motorways are great for a stopover but there's something to be said for finding a small family-run hotel a bit off the beaten track as an alternative.

Great for a stop-over and worth a visit too.

Here we spent a quiet and restful night on the road for our vacation everything was perfect, very good meal and plenty special dessert from the Maleyrie is to discover and enjoy (it's velvet) the patrons are very kind and helpful (possibility motorcycle garage) if our road had to go back into the corners without hesitation.
