We spent a pleasant week as a family in L'Escoundillou! We booked a four-bedroom, with our two children aged 7 and 10 who enjoyed the overlapping bed, the gentle blankets, and the playroom including a babyfoot! On our side, the nights were quiet and peaceful, the rooms were soundproof and well-heated, the bed and bedding comfortable, the room and the whole hotel carefully decorated and very clean, the reception is remarkable! We will return with pleasure, I highly recommend this good address (very good quality/price ratio)!

A charming little hotel ideally located a few minutes from the Lioran, with a beautiful view of the mountains, warm welcome, wise advice, and a great restaurant.

Charm and authenticity

On the website, I reserve a room at 62€ for 6 days (price corresponding to a comfortable room), so the hotel attributes me to room no.9. But on my arrival the manager tells me that he made a mistake and transferred me to room no.8 and I find that this is equivalent to a standard room (10 m2 at the rate of 60€). Subsequently for medical reasons I have to shorten my stay, the manager tells me that I must nevertheless pay the full amount and bill me for the remaining 6 days / 4 days. On my last return the institution authorizes me to change my reservation for 4 days instead of the 6 paid (sometimes also to rent the room for the entries and recruitment) without notice and I will not make a serious mistake, and I will not miss a limit on the total amount of time I have spent on the booking, and I will not be able to book the entire booking without the permission of the registered Members of the Genius!

Very good reception. Simple but comfortable hotel. Local cuisine, quality products and dishes very well prepared. Good environment. Ideal location to visit the area and practice skiing and hiking in the Liora.

It's a nice discovery this small family hotel, which is also super well placed to visit the area. Very clean room, with very good bedding. A very good and cozy breakfast. Very good reception from the hotel managers, with a smile and friendliness, and always good advice. We haven't tested the restaurant but given the menu and the quality of the breakfast, there is no doubt about the quality of the dishes offered in this restaurant with fresh and local products. If we go back to the Cantal, we will definitely land in this hotel. Beautiful continuation for this new year 2022!

It's a nice house.

Small coquette room with a very good bedding, bathroom and especially tiny shower, but should be remodeled.

Calm and clean

Nice hotel the rooms are small but it's perfect. The bedding is new and comfortable. The bathroom is very clean (the shower joints are perfectly clean the facilities are new) I recommend the location also calm and human size

Charming hotel very pleasant and comfortable

The rooms are clean and quiet. There is a garden with a view of the mountain, dedicated to the hotel with trunks, tables, chairs where you can come and dream after a good day of walking. The 1/2 board is good. The hotel is close to very interesting places for hiking (the Lioran from where you can go from the Puy Mary for example). Near Murat and St Flour, two towns worth visiting.

Very good value for money

We spent three nights in this establishment and we were delighted the rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable the very interesting semi-pension formula with regional recipes based on fresh produce the menu offered with the card is excellent rice calf sauce moray perfect and a piece of very tender and tasty salts the young owners are friendly and very efficient and as the note will remain soft there is no contraindication to stop in this small quiet corner

A Young Couple Worth Working For

You can go there with your eyes closed, welcome to the top, ideal location for hiking or biking with a couple of collars around, ask boss Marco for the right sports plans, rando trails or rando skis.
