This B&B is situated in the countryside approximately 7km west of Aix-en-Provence.  It is a good location from which to visit the area.  It s preferable to use a GPS to get there.  A small road sign along the main road advertises the B&B. A narrow lane leads to a locked metal gate of the property. A buzzer is required to announce your arrival.  You will be given a remote key to enter for the remainder of your stay.  Jean-Christophe, your host and proprietor will give you a tour of the property.  We stayed in the "Jardin" room, the main floor room of a 2 floor structure separate from the main house.  Fresh bread, and buns, cheese and jams make up breakfast which is served in the main house. There is a microwave in the room to eat up snacks and quick meals if you wish to stay at home.  Our room was spacious and had a sitting area complete with cable TV.  If you want to know what to do, where to go and how to get there ask Jean-Chirstophe and he will take great pleasure in helping you out.  

One thing to remember is that about 500m away B&B can be found a pizza truck that prepares great European style thin crust pizza.  There is also a traveling wine truck there on most nights.

Hidden B&B in Saint-Marc-Jaumearde

This was our first stop on a three week trip to France. A beautiful spot with a friendly & helpful host. A large, comfortable room and most of all quiet! Breakfast was great and we took advantage of a pizza truck parked a short walk away for our first night when we didn’t want to go out. Would definitely recommend this charming spot!

Lovely place!

The Hermitage room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent in a cordial atmosphere. Mr Fournier and his wife are very attentive. The ideal place for a few days in the land of the Axis!

Relaxation

It is completely quiet and green north of Aix. The whole estate is lovingly restored and very tastefully decorated. The owner is a loving very pleasantly committed host. The beds are great. The pool is very inviting. Be sure to check out the Koi pond. The breakfast is local and perfect for the beginning of the day.

Staying to feel good

October 19-26, 2022. La Ferme in Saint-Marc Jaumegarde, a 15-minute drive from Aix-en-Provence, is among the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in! Four residential units - Provence rustic style – are cradled in trees, in addition to a big lawn, a fish pond and a small swimming pool (just for cooling off and relaxing). Although we were one couple, we received a full family unit with a small living-room and refrigerator on the ground floor and two large rooms a few steps up. There was a beautiful modern shower as well as a deep old-fashioned bathtub in the main sleeping room. Our front yard included a wooden table and chairs, where we often picnicked with two friends who were booked at La Ferme as well. Other units too have outdoor furniture, perfect for drinking wine and eating camembert from a nearby supermarket. Each day’s breakfast (juice, eggs, cheeses, jams, baguettes, croissants, coffee—all in abundance) was prepared by the owner, Jean-Christoph Fournier, who does all the work on the place, speaks perfect English and is very charming and helpful.
The four of us used La Ferme as a base for daily excursions to other Provence locations, seven nights in total.
What to look out for: not all units are as commodious as the one we had, so find out in advance which unit you are getting and what it contains. Mosquitos live well in Provence, and La Ferme is no exception. Come prepared. 


Among the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in

Beautiful landscape, beautiful old house, large pool, good breakfast and a quite place. 40 min drive to the see, stores around, places to visit near. I totally recommend if you are interested in a relaxing vacation with or without children.

Place to relax and have a quiet stay

A very French Country Setting. If you want a small break from the everyday hustle and bustle, this is the place. Beautiful property with lots of space, lovely outside breakfast area, next to a very active Koi Pond. Our room was not a room but a house! Enough space to almost get lost in! When staying in Aix, this the only place to book!

French Country B&B

Guest house on the top floor, with a friendly and always available host, a quiet, green, soothing place, with swimming pool and lounges to recharge. The farm is well maintained, everything is clean, briefly happy.

Excellent welcome with a warm and friendly host. The room is perfect with nice little attention. The city centre of Aix is very accessible by its proximity and your host is a very good recommendation for visiting. Thank you for this most pleasant stay we highly recommend it.

Escape between sisters

We stayed at La Ferme for 5 days at the beginning of November for our holidays in Aix en Provence, in the La Bergerie family room. We are very satisfied with Mr Fournier's welcome, always very available for advice on Aix and the region (Marseille, Calanques, Provence, etc...) and for interesting conversations. The 2 bedrooms were very comfortable (bedroom, bathroom, towels, wifi, small living room) and the breakfasts were very pleasant.
