It's a beautiful farmhouse that has been set up for both passing pilgrims and travelers who want to spend a few days in a natural environment. I stayed with a few friends in the area of family apartments of up to 6 squares. I had a large kitchen and living room in the common area on the ground floor and the rooms on the upper floor. Everything was very clean and new. I also knew there were other less new rooms. At the reception there was a kind lady who waited for us very well, even solving a problem with the reservation we had through Agoda, as she never arrived (recommended to book by booking only or contacting the accommodation directly).

Disconnection in full valley.

I come to this seemingly lovely French hotel with the good intention of resting, drinking coffee and discovering... and I meet a lady who with the affection of few friends and kindness 0 tells me in bad ways that she doesn't speak Spanish and that I want... Me marcho, of course, you have confused you with business friend, if you understand such a bad criticism.

French stop, on the climb to cross the Pyrenees and enter Spain. Excellent accommodation, really good handling and clean rooms, restaurant just above Soint Jean Pied du Port.

Half last place French Tappa...

A nice view of course but the very cold welcome as well as the room and the room because it was cold and a little heating would have done us a lot of good. The dinner was tasty served by a nice and smiling cook. This contrasts with the owner. At breakfast everything was calculated even the coffee. We were six people at the table. A young German woman went to ask for some jam and bread. She was told she had to know how to share she had a categorical refusal. My owner asked for a sandwich with ham, cheese and butter. The owner replied: ah no butter with the ham cheese produced (at 5€ anyway!) I missed a ham ham sandwich at 3€. So I thought it was a ham sandwich at the industrial cannery!

It's disappointing!

The room was impeccable, the view was beautiful, but the owner had to hand over, no confirmation email, even after the resumption, hesitations upon arrival on our reservation, need to recall the check of the barrel. To get a beer, mandatory passage through a beverage distributor. The proper but insufficient diner, I had two tiny pieces of a basque chicken good enough, but not enough to fill the plate, some accompanying legs, exhausted wine, and after insistence, after a quick addition of wine was replaced, but not two.

All right, all right.

I booked a double room (with balconies) and it was an excellent surprise to see that we had a view of the whole valley: the clean room, new beds, renovated bathrooms. There is little room to store things but the view from the room makes it up for it. We haven't dined there so I can't decide if it's okay or not. There are other cheaper rooms that we haven't seen but that also have the best view.

Amazing views.

To give the context: we stayed one night here, as a stopover on the way to Compostelle, which means a small price for the night in 1/2 boarding house. We can only say good of this place, although it is true that the reception could be improved and there is a little disorganization in the reservations. The rooms are clean, with private bathrooms. There are many places, in the garden or on the terrace, to rest with a panoramic view of the whole valley. Breakfast is simple but nice. Dinner is very good, local products, very rich. It is really a place where I will return with pleasure, not to mention that it is a useful step between St. John and Roncevaux PDP.

A very pleasant trip to Compostelle

The view of the hostel is magnificent. The large hostel is comfortably spacious for 10 people. The meal was fine but not exceptional. The warm reception at all made our stay a little less pleasant.

Cold welcome

Above the main house is the hostel with four bedrooms, no double beds, and each with a bathroom, with rainwater shower. Kitchen and terrace. In March it is beautifully heated and very hot water. Dinner with aperitif, ham, hearty gourmet, cheese and ice cream - very rural and delicious. The owner does not speak English, very nice and friendly. Breakfast is simple. A good stop before the ascent, I felt comfortable. I cannot understand the bad reviews.
