The room is of high quality. The bed is perfect and very comfortable (160cm..). The swimming pool is also pleasant and always quiet. The owners are very friendly and the breakfasts at breakfast (continental and cozy) allow to refine the visits to the area. Perfect. We will return during a tour of the area.

Quiet and quality hotel

A little corner of paradise, in the countryside and a few minutes from Vichy.The owners are very nice, a perfect swimming pool, large and spacious rooms, a pleasant breakfast.

A little wonder

Close to Vichy is this beautiful castle with few rooms. Beautiful entrance, as well as the common areas. Large and clean rooms, renovated not with the same care as the rest. Only a bad note, the exterior a little neglected and the pool that might need some maintenance. Overall an absolutely worth trying experience. Excellent quality-price ratio.

Castle (almost) fairy tale

Family guest room is actually 2 very large rooms in total 6 bedrooms everything is nickel, a top welcome, a superb bathroom, a very good taste decoration, everything is made to make you feel good! we were 3 and less than 130 euros for 3 for one night and 3 super copious breakfasts, the owners with little care, extreme kindness, ready to serve, help you to find a good address to eat, give you ideas to visit the area... offer you coffee infusions in the evening, wifi on site, a relaxing living room, a nice quiet building with a nice swimming pool at your disposal! oh how much better than 3 star hotels! thank you for everything!

It's a lovely, quiet stay with a perfect bed and a tasteful decoration, nice owners, nice breakfast, the castle is isolated in the countryside but not too far from the city of Vichy.

We stayed here for one night, our room was very nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable.The shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water although it was a bit small. Breakfast was a very nice continental breakfast, delicious baguette, petite pain au chocolade, coffee, juice, cereal, fruit and eggs cooked to order. The château was huge we did not see much of it but what we did see was really nice if a bit spartan. The hosts were warm and friendly very keen to help with advice about restaurants and places to see. It is in the countryside so very quiet, close to Vichy.

Pleasant  overnight stay

Hosted by guests for a couple's night out. Nice setting inside the castle. The rooms are clean, the beds are of high quality. The decor is oriented towards old furniture. The breakfast is of high quality. Recommended for a short stay.

Good for a small stopover.

We stayed at the Chateau for three nights.  Lovely, quiet location. Easy short drive to Vichy and Charroux. Beautiful area.The Chateau is a renovated centuries old home. The owners are proudly returning it to it's original grandeur. Breakfasts there were my favorite of our entire trip.Vichy is very much like a small Paris,  with a unique history.  Now known for their healing hot springs,  an interesting place to visit. Charroux is a beautiful village, famous for their mustards and candles.

Good Experience

We spent 4 very pleasant nights at this lovely chateau in early August.  The location is peaceful and the chateau is in excellent condition with beautiful decorations. The owners were very proactive and helpful in pointing us to sights and activities in the area - and we explored extensively the Massif Central to the south as well as beautiful towns in the vicinity, such as Charroux. Cleanliness in the chateau was excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts in the 'grand salon'. By the way, the restaurant "Auberge du Pont" in nearby Billy is a gastronomique delight.

Lovely chambre d'hôte in beautiful surroundings

We had a lovely stay. The hosts were very friendly and gave us some excellent recommendations for places to see and restaurants to eat in Vichy. We had a superb meal at Le Brasserie Casino (not the restaurant in the casino itself, this is on Rue du Casino). Chateau de Gerbe is well worth a stay. The breakfast was very good. We hope to go back and will definitely recommend it to our friends.
