Exceptional

Very good welcome from the landlord. very well decorated family room very convenient location 2 steps from the Asterix Park.

The perfect stay

I picked this place for 8 nights, because it's very close to Asterix. Home, comfort of the rooms, quiet: everything was perfect A big one: the hyper-cozy breakfast, a real meal! We also tested an evening meal: fabulous and even more cozy than the little dej.

Everything was perfect.

We stayed one night. They were the only guests. Since we arrived with our children relatively late, we waived the dinner (you have to order in advance) and only asked for some bread & cheese. So, of course, it was still a full dinner ;-), and for EUR 60 for 4 people, it was a very cheap one, since the chocolate table was still included. In the morning in exactly 14 minutes from the entrance to the very quiet hostels until the security check at CDG. The rooms are well designed and not overloaded.

Family & close to CDG

We had a great family stay. The room is spacious, decorated with great taste. The place is very quiet. The children had their own room communicating with ours. The reception is just perfect. The lunch, taken in a perfectly decorated room, was copious and delicious. A great surprise, a great time. We will come back and we strongly advise you to stay there. Thank you again.

It's perfect.

This is one of my famous hotels, just stayed there for one night, but a very warm welcome, a excellent room, large and luxury bathroom, one of the best breakfasts and the overall atmosphere will bring me back. Very fair value for the money. For sure, with the garden arrangements it will be perfect in the summer, but for your service and your welcome, just let me say thank you..

Would love to come back

Not far from Chantilly Castle, on the heights of Paris and in a very nice, quiet park, this beautiful house has been beautifully restored and with taste, the owner's kitchen very well and is very friendly! I love guesthouses because they are much less impersonal than hotels and with the sun in prime to enjoy the park it's even better, we had been put in a more spacious room for the same price. On my next trip to Paris, I turn around with my eyes closed! It's better to have a GPS because the villa is in a dead end

Excellent reception, excellent cuisine, very nice rooms

We decided to stay here on our last night in France since it's 20 minutes from CDG airport and sounded a lot more classy than a typical hotel on the airport strip. And it was! (Though also more expensive.) 

While this house was built in 1865 (as the priest's house for the old chapel beside it) the entire house has been extensively renovated and it's fabulous in all aspects. We stayed in Room #1 and it was very large, with a huge, **absolutely gorgeous bathroom** with an antique tub and two sinks. My wife loved the overall decor of the entire place. (I think B&B's in France, at least those in the Charm network, are more classy than the few we have stayed at in North America.) 

The weather was not great when we were there, and we were dead tired from touring, so we did not sit out in the garden, but that would be perfect on nicer days. 

I wish we had booked the dinner (extra cost) ... that must be reserved in advance ... but we had forgotten to do so. (Ended up eating at a Western US style restaurant about 10 minutes away on the road to Lille, France, instead of the fine restaurant the owner recommended because we were so tired.) Breakfast was included at the Villa, and it was very nice but perhaps cereal and fresh fruit would have made it better. 

The couple who operate the Villa speak a bit of English and I speak a bit of French so we got by. Internet access should be possible, but I would have needed more info from the owner as to how connect to their network; hence I never did manage it. Also, the Satellite TV was complicated so we never figured out how to use it. But we were so tired, that did not matter. (I'm sure they would have solved both issues for us if we had asked.) 

Note: You need GPS or a google map to find the Villa. And it's NOT the big resort-style place you will find when you first arrive ... you need to drive about 100 yards past that on the little road to reach the Villa. (I think that should have been made more clear in the confirmation note we got; I had to phone the Villa from the other place to find out we were at the wrong gate. But perhaps if we were not so tired we would have found it; it looks like the photo while the other place is huge, and obviously not a B&B) 

Overall, this B&B would be a fabulous experience if you were there for more than one night and in nicer weather than we had.

Gorgeous, classy, charming B&B

Needed a hotel for 2 nights close enough to Paris to take the train in and close to Parc Astrix. We needed a room for 4 (kids 5 and 8) and Villa 1865 really fit well. There are restaurants closeby (although it felt like being in the suburbs in the US with a pizza place, a steak house and a McDonalds surrounded by Comfort in Hotels) but with the kids--it was perfect. Caught the RER train into Paris and parked the car in the free lot close by ex Survilliers (easy taxi or 5 minute drive away) and it was less than 10 min to Parc Astrix.  The breakfast was great but reserve a spot the day before. Bruno was very attentive and helpful. The only "negative" is that being a big house with a middle staircase and wooden floors, as quiet as the hotel was, you could hear everything from every level.  If the hotel was full, that could be an issue. Fortunately, we kept the kids quiet. Shower and bed both were really good. I would definitely go back as Bruno's kindness is worth a little noise.

Short and peaceful visit

My husband and I were fortunate to book the Villa 1865 quite by chance.
He was looking for a nicely priced room near the Airport.  What we found is a travelers dream!

The Villa is lovely and only 15 minutes from CDG. ( Show the cab driver the address first )
20 E will get you to the Villa.  Once inside, you will forget the bustle of the city and be transported by the gardens and view of a twinkling Paris visible through the twilight.

DO NOT MISS DINNER!!!  Chef Bruno is a Culinary Master!  The kitchen was closed the evening of our visit, but we were offered our choice of two dining options.  The Medallions of Beef that appeared, glazed with a Balsamic red wine sauce were delightful!  They were paired with gently Truffled Mashed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms and a full bottle of fabulous Vin Rouge.
Dessert was a Chocolate Lava Cake with fresh Pureed Strawberries laced with crushed pistachios.  We were left alone inside a Romantic candle lit dining room to enjoy our meal.

Chef Bruno speaks Fluent French ,Italian and very good English.  He is a delight and the rooms are comfortable with the best mattress we found during our entire trip!
We had a 6 am Flight, and had to miss the famous breakfast that is offered inclusive of the price.

We will be back!  It is the sort of travel find one reads about, but doubts they will ever experience.
Our only remorse was due to the fact that we were on a 21 hour Layover, and had to leave this beautiful place!
