A beautiful establishment well maintained by the new king who is pleased to enjoy thanks to Rémy for all the investments he has made to bring a beautiful map and quality products! Tourism, festive meals, seminar, quick lunch wedding there are for all tastes! We also enjoy a superb frame with a splendid view of the valley! Thank you Rémy again a good time 😊

Beautiful establishment, well renovated, with a view of Mont Blanc on the waking, just gorgeous... good quality breakfast, we will return to this establishment without any problems, easily accessible by highway on the holiday road.

That's great

A generous peasant salad, with the option of choosing it either as an entrance or as a flat. Ideal formula in summer, few restaurants offer this possibility. The reception is pleasant and the girls are great. We'll come back and recommend this very good restaurant.

Always delicious

A place in a very nice and clean setting the bedroom well the bathroom bathroom too high to see a shower better than a bathroom for the elderly a very beautiful area to visit

The weekend

We made a lunch stop there on the recommendation of a friend, badly down that day because there was apparently a lunch in the main hall at the back of a local 3rd age club that was extremely noisy!! Regarding the kitchen, that's right, but we took 1 Chablis 1st raw very average.. for my part, a piece of unrespected blue cooked beef, I had ordered more vegetables than fries, I had the other way around... In dessert, the burnt crust was too pasty.. We won't go back there.

Oh, my gosh.

Small hotel in a quiet little village. A neat but comfortable and clean room. Only the bath water needs to be poured for a very long time to get hot water. A good breakfast. Perfect for a night or two but no more.

Good for a weekend.

The rooms are very well equipped because the hotel has been completely renovated and it's quite successful, but for the restaurant I was alone that night and the quality as well as the taste side weren't on your appointment unfortunately.

Average

We booked this hotel as part of our long trip back to the UK from the South of France and we were visiting an attraction in the area the following day.

When we arrived, and we were able to park immediately outside which is always a bonus, the establishment was firmly locked up! There was a printed notice on the door explaining that the hotel & restaurant is closed on Mondays except for pre-booked reservations. 

There was a number to call but my spoken French is not that great, so I rang the central Logis de France office who were able to help. After they contacted the owner it transpired that our room keys were in the letter box to the left of the front door! 

After letting ourselves in, we headed to the rooms which were nicely decorated. However there was a problem with the shower in our room which meant that the water wouldn't drain away and overflowed to the floor.

Now, remember I said that the hotel restaurant was closed on Mondays? Well, this causes a problem if you want to eat as there's nothing else in the village apart from a fast food place! In the room, there was a helpful list of restaurants in neighbouring towns & villages, however the nearest of these was still at least a 10 minute drive away which wasn't ideal as I'd driven up from Monaco and was looking forward to a drink! 

I was a little surprised that the room rate was exactly the same on a Monday as any other day, despite the lack of facilities available. Had we known in advance that the restaurant was going to be closed, we would have chosen a different hotel , however that's probably my fault for not inspecting the website closely enough! 

If you do want a hotel in the area on a Monday, there's an Ibis Budget in the nearby town of Creancey which is much cheaper and opposite the Courtepaille restaurant which is where we ended up eating.

Be wary if staying on a Monday!

Stayed one night during a heat wave in July.  The room was clean but a little small.  Remy and the others were friendly and helpful.  Ate in their restaurant, in part because there are few choices nearby, however, it was a wonderful meal with an amazing view of the French countryside from a much higher elevation than one would expect in France.  Our room had a similar view as it was at the back of the hotel.  Absolutely the best view we had in all of France.

Sombernon, sleepy but very quaint!

I stayed with Remy and his family of staff for a week in spring and was never left for a minute. Everything was attended to without delay. The room was wonderfully cosy in the cold nights and the restaurant and bar delivered food and local wine of excellent quality. The place was always humming with guests, local and international, and provided a perfect home from home during a business stay. I recommend Le Spuller to any traveller to this quaint village!! Merci beaucoup Remy. We will meet again
