A wonderful hostel with many room options & a very affordable breakfast on request. The rooms are super cozy & quiet, although you can get from A to B super fast on foot and by public transport.

Perfect location to explore Berlin

I stayed one night at the hostel and it was perfect, clean room, very clean toilets and showers and also they have breakfast (4Euros) with bread, cereals, coffee/tea... good option if you are looking for comfort and well location (close to Hpf) 

Clean and comfortable

I've been there on rainy days and this pirate-style hostel and more in the media. It's close to my favorite area or Frankfurt am Main and Warschauer Street.

Specific

It's a very nice atmosphere for this hostel, very characteristic and lived in by its visitors. The area is quiet, a good starting point for visiting the European capital.

Good price, room shared with other travellers, shower rooms are common, the establishment is still very well maintained and the small bar on the ground floor is very friendly to chat with other people, the neighborhood is very pleasant and quiet, you find a real Berlin atmosphere, it is an establishment where I can come back for a friendly trip.

Youth hostel

We were in Berlin for a week in April 2014:) I felt the staff at the reception was friendly ;) We had a room on the fourth floor.. It was a family room to a really fair course.. The shower was on the room.. The bedding smelled really bestial to chemistry otherwise the room seemed only roughly cleaned... I would come back here anytime for the price. The breakfast was really good for the little money.. but overall the impression was average.

It was okay.

i stayed room with 21 beds but there was only 3 people stayin there at that time. they have good breakfest and great bar. the staff is nice and helpfull. it is near club call matrix. metro is realy near.

good hostel

I visited this hostel every summer for three consecutive years (2009-2011). Things may have changed since but I doubt it. 

Excellent evening atmosphere with a cheap drinks and an interesting variety of people in the bar and outside area to chat to. I stayed with a friend but I imagine a solo traveller would not feel alone there. The other guests there when you visit will obviously be an unpredictable variable but this is a risk you take with any hostel.

Staff were all helpful. Some were very friendly but some were typical efficiently stern Germans. No problems though.

Rooms were basic but clean and had the essentials. On arrival you are given your bedding to put onto a bed which is not in use in you allocated room yourself. There was a deposit of a few euro to pay for this. We were in a large dorm and there was a lot of coming and going throughout the night; I suppose this was inevitable considering the nightclubs in Berlin don't seem to close on a weekend. Despite this, the rooms felt safe.

Basic buffet type breakfast was provided for a small charge; if you're on a budget, you could even make some extra sandwiches and sneak them out for your lunch....

About 20-30 minute walk from the city centre - just point yourself in the direction of the TV tower.

In summary, it's a basic, good value hostel with a fun atmosphere in a decent location.

The Hostel is nicely decorated and the rooms are very clean and pretty.  We visited this hostel twice in the past 14 months and we loved it! The paintings on the wall are absolutely well made!
We loved the overall atmosphere in the hostel but sometimes the staff working there was not very polite/kind.

I liked it very much. Nice location near the subway and in an airfield full of restaurants. From walking to the east side.
