Stay away from this place.

Cleaning staff LOST a specific item of ours. We complained at the reception, and after much explaining, they agreed that they should refund us a specific amount and that we should talk more in the evening. In the evening, the guy who worked at the reception did not speak English and could not understand us at all. The next morning, during our check-out, they promised us that everything is ok and that the manager will contact us after a few days. When that passed and no one contacted me, I tried to contact them by email and Booking but got no response to my messages. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone - one should not have to worry about the safety of his belongings left at the hotel room.

Stay away! They lost our stuff from the room. Promised refund but never payed or responded to messages.

The room smells muffled, the air conditioner spits only hot air, the TV only gives sound, no picture, breakfast is a disaster, the slope to the room leads past the kitchen, along with the toilets for the conference room, and it smells like that, mixed with kitchen and toilets.

Not to be recommended.

Before I paid 280 euros for 2 nights at the opposite motel one, I decided to spend 2 nights at 130 euros in Halong. The room was clean, otherwise there was little positive to report. Mini TV with 6 programmes counted, WIFI was fine, the whole hotel environment was already very accustomed. Unfortunately I decided to pay 8 euros per night for breakfast, which was really bad. Backbreads and eggs from the day before, 3 packed marmalades, 2 varieties of smacks etc.

It's quite cheap, that's all.

The hotel is located in the east of the centre of Berlin, in the part of the former GDR whose buildings are large and the avenues wide...and I think it also dates from this period! on the other hand, it is easily accessible from the airport in 35 minutes by bus 109 and metro U2. Asian style is common in the hotel as well as in the furniture of the rooms as one could guess.

Easy and conveniently located access

The Halong Hotel is located near the famous Berlin landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag or the Federal Council, which can be reached within a few minutes on foot. The rooms include a large bed, a flat-screen TV - which unfortunately did not work in my room - as well as a bathroom with shower (as well as a fountain) and toilet. The cleanliness in the room was fine, but the furnishings have been partly strong over the years. The Wi-Fi has worked great and the rooms also have several plugs.

Practical hotel - that's all

the Hotel is very nice, friendly staff. however if you want to avoid your room smelling like Vietnamese food i suggest requesting the top floor . the Restaurant downstairs will stink up the whole place.

Nice Friendly Staff

Hotel in the center of Berlin, in a somewhat sluggish position but a 6-minute walk from the gendarmenmarkt. The elevator leads only to the first floor then on foot. Large Vietnamese restaurant with street level reception. Large rooms well equipped but with very little light (read lamps were also missing), large bathroom equipped with toiletries. I personally stayed in a room that shared the bathroom with the one next door (luckily closed).

Better or worse than expected?

Great location. You can walk everywhere and it's really a short walk from the U-bahn Spittelmarkt. Nice to the reception. Cleanliness. Large spaces, comfortable beds and soundproofed rooms. Close to two supermarkets, the hotel also allows a small meal in the room, having a refrigerator (((empty), as well as the TV. Breakfast is not the top, but I've seen worse. I really recommend it.

That's perfect!

Very nice hotel, in a strategic position to visit the city even on foot, metro station nearby. Comfortable room, well soundproofed and very clean, as well as the bathroom, all new; super comfortable beds, daily towel change. Good breakfast buffet. Good quality/price ratio, I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel with an oriental atmosphere... absolutely pleasant

The hotel is a short walk from the U-bahn spittelmarkt stop, where in a short time you can reach any place of interest. The reception is not the maximum, not present and available only if requested. Our room had a new and very clean bathroom, was equipped with TV and refrigerator (empty) and furnished with simplicity and taste. The only sin is the too soft mattresses that caused me some problems being used to harder mattresses.
