With a nice ambience and very friendly service, we were surprised by the size of the portions. The smallest burger we've ever seen, the Cordon Bleu, was the size of half a child's cut. Price/performance unfortunately doesn't fit. We're not big eaters, but that was Bonsai.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, mini-burger or Cordon Bleu

We ordered different dishes, all of which were bad. Every sauce was made with ready-to-eat sauces. The cheese patties were completely boiled and tasted like nothing. The burgers and french fries were burned. The water was served in a glass instead of a small bottle. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit for a much too high price! It was the first and last time at the Heines!

Disastrous

The steaks were really great, they were fried to the point. The slice was very tender and the potatoes were very tasty. The service is very nice and welcoming. The ambience is wonderful outside. Very child-friendly.

Dinner

In the beginning of the evening, the service was very cheerfull and gave the opinion your are very welcome, which is one of the most important aspects of the people who give service on a terrass. But during the evening it changed to a more nonchalant automated task which had to be performed: drinks are thrown on the table without any word or attention for the customers. Too bad, but we won't come back there.

A better place to be is on the opposite, the brasserie of Hotel Stadt Daun which has nice people, great food, drinks and service that make you feel a guest in the house.

Strange behaviour of service

On the hike through the Eifel, I stopped in Daun and suckled up hunger and thirst here. In addition to a lovingly designed gas chamber, this place also offers the possibility of being hosted outside. The food was very tasty and lovingly prepared. I highly recommend it. Thank you 😊

It's a great place.

Here, for (comparatively) little money, you get a decent accommodation in a central location. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the rooms are not exactly up to date, but really clean and absolutely okay. Breakfast is available at the hotel for an extra price. There is a smoker's corner bar in the house, but it would not have been noticeable by smell or noise. We would love to come back.

Affordable, clean, friendly

We had a very delicious meal, the dishes were rich, the service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very calm and cozy. We had a steak pan with homemade spatchels and fresh yet crispy vegetables and a fresh effervescent porridge with salted potatoes and salad.

Food

I'm excited. Again a very pleasant surprise. I can only report about the bar, but you get the same food as in the restaurant. The food is delicious. The menu is varied and the service is very nice and attentive. The highlight for me: You can smoke!!! THE HAMMER! This is my place of origin, should I be nearby again.

It's a great bar!

Nice little hotel, very well located. Large free parking just next door. Nice staff. Well equipped and clean room, comfortable bed, good heating. Reserved just for two short nights at a sporting event.

Good and cheap

We were staying at the Hotel Heines for 3 days in October 2018 and we felt very comfortable. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. The food was plentiful and very tasty, especially the fries. Unfortunately the slice was not fried but fried, but still delicious. The restaurant is exceptionally creative.
